And what strict rules are you talking about? Is it a rule on KVR that you MUST have sigs turned on? And if so, why do they allow you to turn sigs off in the settings (like on every other forum?)

"the rules" as in "none of that flashy crap taking up half a screen you see on other forums". sigs on KVR are actually useful in many cases, and they don't interfere with normal forum reading. never mind the irony of the fact that you are promoting your own stuff in your signatures.
