Hi Attila
I do not think that there is so much work need to change it, maybe its a small Bug, but i can be wrong, you know better how it should work. please see new video, i use the well known RC standard piano now. I choose "Preview selected phrase in composition". i think this should play the phrase same in chord preview as it should play in song(and depend on magnet setting). but hear when i click on phrase, it sound diffrent as when click on chord selector. wy this is diffrent ?. I assume at least in this mode the phrase from chord generator should play.

Attila!
It would be fantastically convenient if, while dragging the midi file to the track and with the buttons CTRL + SHIFT pressed, the "trimming silence" function would work.
I really want to drag midi files, but very many have a lot of silence bar before the first notes start (
Thank you .

Would it acceptable if silence is trimmed for ALL MIDI files that is dropped onto a track? It makes no sense to have empty bars on a dropped phrase anyway.
It would be too much work to switch between trimmed and non-trimmed file for pressing/releasing Alt.
Also, lulukom, the looping bug is fixed now. Thank you for reporting it!

Auto-trim might be the most usefull but sometimes you get some stems that are all meant to be put on bar one even if there is silence for a while so that they all line up properly during the course of the song.

i think its good, when trim silence at a bar grid. but if the first note in a midi is at 1.2.0 or so, then it should not trim.

Hi padillac,
indeed, the behavior was strange when there were no chords in the progression. It works otherwise. From the next version a warning message is displayed "Nothing to drag. Empty progression." for an attempt to drag an empty progression.
Thanks for reporting this.

Automatic trimming silence works now. Only whole bars are trimmed from the beginning.
Dropping a MIDI file is useful for single-track files. For multi-track files more user intervention is required, e.g. to tell RC which tracks you want to analyse or convert.
The workflow is much better now, thanks to your feature requests. New update will be uploaded soon so that you have the latest and greatest...

Another little thing that I do not like ..
How to immediately get into the chord selector without a window of quick suggestions?
Maybe shortcut or-clicking with any button pressed?
Thank you !

Please check the shortcut "Open Chord Selector" under Keyboard Shortcuts.
I think F10 opens the chord selector, please check if that works.
Maybe Alt-click could open the chord selector immediately? That may be a good idea.
Thanks,
Attila
