For me, Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" is at the top of my list. I cringe every time I am forced to hear it. Musically, it's not terrible, it's just that there is nothing in the lyrics that is actually ironic. Other than the fact the the song is titled "Ironic" and the lyrics are not.

Btw ok maybe it's a stretch to call it the worst song ever. But this guy is now the largest selling artist EVER in India, which is pretty scary. He also obviously wields a lot of power and influence, with 50 million followers, so he is potentially also an extremely dangerous individual. He is also currently under investigation for the forcible castration of 400 of his followers

This is potentially as dangerous or more than any of the doomsday cults, like aum shinrikyo or heaven's gate, except that in this case this guy has more ppl than a small country following him.

Resurrecting this thread to add that the so-called Babaji is at the centre of a major controversy that's been grabbing all the headlines in India, and has been handed a 20 year prison sentence for the rape of two of his followers. A few cities were more or less completely shut down due to widespread violence caused by his followers, and some incredibly shady dealings of the cult have been surfacing ever since his arrest. He and some of his followers even had a plan to run over cops and try to escape, complete with him giving them the signal by lifting a red bag .. so maybe not the worst musician ever, but certainly up there among the worst gurus ever.
