That's a pretty vague description...

Are you looking for playable orchestral instruments? Phrases? Some orchestral tension effects?

Well. The Magix sound pools offer a small amount of orchestral instruments in phrases. So this are loops at different pitches.

But the selektion is small.
I am looking fore something like this to add it to my orchestral soundtracks.

I don't know if this is the correct area for this...probably Samples would have been better. Are you looking at prime articulations or something specific like aleatoric stuff.

The largest set of orchestral sounds and articulations would likely be Hollywood Orchestra by EastWest. It is over 700gb's (Diamond) of sounds and is fantastic. My goto for sure.

For aleatoric stuff, you could use Albion IV, or Espressivo from Sonokinetic which is what I use for that (alternatively 8Dio has a variety of libraries covering this, but I have no experience with).

If it's phrases and orchestral textural elements you're after, you might give the Zero-G orchestral series a try.

Animato, Perpetuo, Luminoso and Spiritoso go on sale often and the content is great. If...that's what you're looking for...

You won't get a wide or comprehensive selection of articulations in a free library. Your best bet for articulations is a paid library (or a subset of a paid library, if you can just get the articulation you want). The paid libraries are quite expensive, but in most cases, they're worth it for several reasons.

People who put together the free libraries don't always have the luxury of recording many different articulations.

If you have Kontakt, then the VSL orchestral library that comes with it might help you; same with Dimension Pro and the smaller library that comes with that. (I mention these simply because people tend to forget about them.) And if you can give us an idea of which articulations and instruments you'd like, maybe someone can guide you to a relatively inexpensive library.

Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
