+1 that would be great!!!Warehouseparty wrote:Love it!
Is there a way to tell Avenger which Tempo the samples are in, so it stretches the samples according to the song tempo? Or do I have to convert a sample to full bars before so I can make use of the time marks?

Wow, insane good tip !Beachboy wrote:I have a workaround for you. Drag and drop your sample then open the new browser popup in an OSC. Double click on "Samples" and the mode switches from granular to sample.bpmusic wrote:Manuel, sorry, but i want import one sample (bass or synt wave)as ordinary sample, not granular sample....but Avenger import all my samples only in granular mode....help,please...
Should be fixed though.
But agreed, this should be fixed asap please..

Open up the OSC menu and double click on "Resample", this will open up the wavetable editor and you're now able to import your samples like you did before.bpmusic wrote:Manuel, sorry, but i want import one sample (bass or synt wave)as ordinary sample, not granular sample....but Avenger import all my samples only in granular mode....help,please...
Also, big up for this amazing update!

I do not understand what you mean. As long as your imported sample is a loop, it always has the tempo of your Daw. All you have to do is switch the "loop" option on in granular mode. You then have multipliers (speed dial)... 2x, 4x or 1/2, 1/4 etc the speed. And dont forget you also have sample start / end markers to specify a certain area in the sampleIs there a way to tell Avenger which Tempo the samples are in, so it stretches the samples according to the song tempo? From where does one download an updated factory content for the new release with granular presets?
Spent 20 frustrating minutes looking on the VSP website, can't find it anywhere.
Looked in my account section on their website, there are links for my download of VSP Avenger but not the factory content.
Their website says the factory content for the demo and full product are identical. So I downloaded the demo factory content however it is 4.84Gb in size, but this is smaller than the factory content I downloaded 6 months ago (which is 4.88Gb).
Every single time I go to their web site, I end up spending ages searching for things, never finding them, and end up getting frustrated. Every time. Should be simple to find, but its not. Am I a moronic idiot? Where is the latest version of the factory content?

If it's a loop, exactly x-bars long it works great. But if you are using vocals - not prepared as loop and not a full bar but more or less in length - you have to adjust the playback speed in a more complex way.msvs wrote:I do not understand what you mean. You need to import the sample, change your track to the tempo of the sample, set your endpoint/100% in the editor to the length of the sample (lets say 3500ms) and change your project back to original speed afterwards.
Would be easier if you could set a BPM - but actually this workaround is what I was searching for - but I have not been not aware of it when asking. No need for adjustment!
Edit: There's room to improve: It would be great if there was a way to set the endpoint/3500 ms (or whatever) automatically. Right now I need to go to an audio editor, find out what length the sample has and put this into the editor as endpoint/100%.
Something like:
- rightclick in the drag+drop bar
=> context menu "set sample length as endpoint in editor"

It is unfathomably crazy that this isn't linked anywhere on the website. All it can do is increase the stress and hassle for the VPS staff, since we all run around like headless chickens looking for stuff that should be obvious and bothering them with it. I think the FAQ could do with an update too, with all this basic admin stuff - how and where to download, how to update content vs instrument, whether you have to re-download the whole content every time (yes) etc. This is super-low hanging fruit.
But anyway, once done it's a beut for shore. Granular is really fun - enjoyed playing with some of that nice orchestral brass in the new expanded core library. Kudos and thanks to the whole team.

I login with my credentials.
I then see right away a flashing "Content" icon.
When i click that icon, the Content file starts downloading right away. (4.77 gig size for me i believe).
Not for you ?

Thanks,
This totally illustrates my point about their web site being unintuitive. That link is to *register* a product.
That is always a one off process, who would think that in order to download updated content you need to go to a registration page (as opposed to an account page for example).
