Hi SOlo,

great update. Love the new modules, especially the comb filter and the reverb. The reverb is really nice and smooth and can generate great textures. Also allowing more than 2 rows is a great new feature. Thanks a lot!!

I still have to experiment with the new advanced oversampling features, but it sounds very promising.

Only two remarks I have at the moment:

Regarding the oversampling, it seems that the "Audio/CV to DAW" modules always show the "no oversampling" sticker on then, even if oversampling is enabled. If indeed, the enabled oversampling does what it should do, namely adding the downsampling filter, maybe you should then remove that sticker, or add an LED to indicate which mode is used.

I am not quite sure what the oversampling option on the other modules does. I was under the impression that the whole engine should work at the oversampled rate, so what happens for those modules?

For the reverb, I would have a feature request, if it still could be implemented somehow: I think it would be a great addition if the decay length could be controlled by a CV. This would allow, for instance, to keep some sound reverberating for a long time, and then quickly damp it by a CV before feeding a new sound into the reverb. I personally would see that more valuable than being able to control the stereo width by a CV.

But, as usual, all is great work!!

I'm impressed by the sound and CPU usage. I was a little startled by the logo.

+1.

The logo is quite unfortunate and gives a bad connotation to a very good product.

Yeah the product is sublime! The logo is a very bad choice. I guess that the coder just didn't associate it to "that" horrible symbol?

It's funny I never knew about this logo thing until I read it here a few months back. It so happens that the font I used looks this way. You can see it here: http://www.dafont.com/die-nasty.font

The style of the font comes from hard rock heritage. Now that I see that more people associate it with something else. Lets see how can I morph this into something else. The problem is that it's allover the place now. The font is used in all modules :dog:

The 3rd law of thermo-dynamics states that: the 2nd law has two meanings, one of them is strictly wrong, the other is massively misunderstood.

Yeah. The Kiss logo i.e. But the 2 'S' alone are just that thing.

Yes, it is really the combination of the font and the abbreviation with the two S.

Probably using "SR" for SoloRack instead would already help, even with the same font would already help.
The two 'S' might still give that connotation even with a different font, although not that obvious.

But I guess, due to the horrible historical facts connected with those runes, you will get more criticism and people who stay away from that product for that very reason.

I really don't see a difference. You seem pretty attached to the logo design.

Some people will hate it and not buy your synth, some will like it or won't care and will buy it. If that is really your vision, then stick with it.

I'm not seeing it but then I'm no SJW

My two cents:

- Remove SoloStuff and SS from all modules and just keep SoloRack at the top of the modular. As that is the name of the modular.
That way there can't be any critisism or need to come up with a new logo.

- Replace SoloStuff and SS for SR with the font you like, SR stands for SoloRack.
