Regroover Esssential is no slouch... nothing out there does what it can do... I was very suprised when Accusonus gave it away. I bought it beforehand so as a courtesy they upgraded me to the "pro" version at no charge. Play with this thing (try it on your own material or loop libraries) and you'll be impressed I'm sure.

is regroover an effect or instrument plugin?

It is neither. Regroover is a sample manipulation plugin,djmino02 wrote:is regroover an effect or instrument plugin?

Regroover is neat, but I cant help but see it as a wasted opportunity
to make a pretty awesome sampler. Its really only about the audio
splitter. Everything else about it is really bare bones. For those who
are not in the habit of buying loop based production material, its more
of a novelty, and not super useful. Even then, splitting material
degrades its quality quite a lot IMHO.
Still, pretty neat and fun. Maybe during a good sale, I might consider
upgrading to the pro version.
YMMV...

I'm really pleased with the Regroover freebie this month! I loaded a simple kick drum loop and it split the kick into four bands, all of them useful in their own way. If you're into sound design or layering samples then it's a bit of a no-brainer imo.

How is regroover compared to sugar bytes' egoist?

No comparison, IMHO.Caine123 wrote:How is regroover compared to sugar bytes' egoist?
With that said, I just took Regroover for another spin and had a blast with it. The audio splitter is pretty damn cool.

For convincing remixing/balancing of percussion or other audio it sounds pretty awful. However, for sound design it's pretty impressive.ATN69 wrote:It is neither. Regroover is a sample manipulation plugin,djmino02 wrote:is regroover an effect or instrument plugin?

Sorry, if it is already asked.
Is Plugin Collective-Plugin of the month open for all registered product owner?
Or is it open for new customers only who are yet to register their product?
Also, earlier offers are not accessible for new customers if I am not wrong.
Thank you all.

I don't know for sure but I think you can't simply register an account at Focusrite. I think you need to be a registered product owner. It doesn't matter if you bought any hardware or only software from Focusrite. I saw one month (don't know when it was) that Focusrite listed all previous offers so that people who missed out could have a chance to get those plugins. I only saw it once but I would guess in the end of every year or so, they might list all offers from that year. I never saw if there is any other way to get previous past giveaways.

Thanks ATN69, for quick reply. I understand that it is for "product owners" only, not for simply account holders at focusrite website.
But, I am not clear whether it is allowed to take benefit by all old customers too (for ex, someone who has registered 3 years back)?
Or if someone registers in this month, then only active offer of this month is allowed as "one time" benefit only? Can future month offeres be availed once registration completed?
Thanks, again.

It's available every month for all registered product owners. Basically a free plugin every month. But you have to redeem them in the months they are available. If you register now, but didn't take the October offer until the November offer comes up, you miss the October one.
*They did reactivate the offers a few months back, but I wouldn't rely in that

Initially you only needed an account, then it was enough to have even just a free CM bundle, but, AFAIK, now you have to have a product other than that free bundle.
