This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?

Do you need a drum machine? I just load individual wav samples into my sequencer (Cubase). Different track for each sound and route them all to a drum buss. Works well for me. Thousands of free samples out there.
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Also, for me, its not just the samples, its the production of them -- what plugins do I use to make the drums fatter and stand out in the mix, but not interfere with the other instruments; where the drums "sit" in the mix etc. I guess thats a learning curve for a producer.

I really dig Poise for samples, especially because that's what's missing in Reaper, there's awesome stock one in Bitwig.

yep, I am aware of resamplematic. Its midi patterns, and causing the drums to be where they should be in the mix, and sounding as they should.Zexila wrote:Rest my case.Apratim wrote:ok i owe reaper and i dont understand why you need to waste money when you have resamplomatic5000 just create multiple track with the 5000 and route a main midi to it and make the 5000 respont to a single note or watch the video below
Anyone recommend any producer tips videos to help me get my drums sounding as they should?

Which could make things like clicking samples on pads (as many excellent apps do), a potential timing challenge, until you decide it is doable.Bansaw wrote: (for someone who is not naturally gifted at drums!)

If you want good sounds with minimal tweaking, get Native Instruments Polyplex. Sounds great out of the box.Bansaw wrote:Whats the best EDM drum machine plugin for my DAW (Reaper)

Not really. There's thousands of free ones available. Download some and try them. Every producer has his / her own favourites. How you process them with compression, EQ, saturation etc also adds to the sound.Bansaw wrote: Do you have a favorite set of samples from a favorite website?
