- Remove SoloStuff and SS from all modules and just keep SoloRack at the top of the modular. As that is the name of the modular.
That way there can't be any critisism or need to come up with a new logo.
- Replace SoloStuff and SS for SR with the font you like, SR stands for SoloRack.
SoloRack v1.0 is here

Hmm, My website/company name is SoloSuff. I already own that domain name and everything. And what if I wanted to make other synths in the future.RPH wrote:My two cents:

The reason to have a company name printed on the moduleis is, 1. Euroack modules do it this way, 2. There can be other 3rd party doing modules for SR in the future.
This one is also possible: Try not to judge it from your current mind set. you already know this thread, instead if there is a friend around, just ask him, "does it remind you of something ?"

The 3rd law of thermo-dynamics states that: the 2nd law has two meanings, one of them is strictly wrong, the other is massively misunderstood.

I see, can understand you don't want to change that then.S0lo wrote: Hmm, My website/company name is SoloSuff. I already own that domain name and everything. And what if I wanted to make other synths in the future.

My colleague and me both like this logo, we say use it.S0lo wrote:

I asked him yesterday to look at the current logo and he had the same association, here in the Netherlands we are reminded of the second world war yearly and in history classes. It's a sensitive subject for a lot of people.
For me personally I love the modular and couldn't care less what the logo is really, you clearly didn't intend to offend ppl.

Yeah, sure. It's all a matter of first sight for people that doesn't know the product and can have an understandable bad reaction to the logo. It was clearly not intended by Solo.RPH wrote:

I agree that version 5 looks much better. Some people will still make the association, but it is more far fetched. At least with the two colours, and the opposite orientation it does look significantly different.Gosh wrote:being one of the persons who complained about the original logo, i have to say that version 5 looks much better
The problem with the original (and in parts with the next two versions) was that it was simply too close (well the original was essentially the SS emblem).
I would be ok with version 5.
Cheers,
Martin

Logo 8 looks good!
ps....why not think about two plain S crossed in horizontal position...they are just like sine waves

Logo 7 and 8 are both nice imo, if I needed to make a choice then i'd say 7.

Thanks again for the feedback. So I guess it's between 7 and 8. Logo 5 is possible too. Lets see which one works best in tiny size for module panels.
Logo 8 in away looks like two sawtooths.lalo wrote:Logo 8 looks good!
Thats also valid. Thing is I was trying to keep a consistent aesthetic with the font. Othewise I'd better change the font, which I still do like.lalo wrote:ps....why not think about two plain S crossed in horizontal position...they are just like sine waves

Logo 8 is great,
i don't care about your logo, i'm french and i have never associate your logo with the second war, same with Skrillex and is logo...but i could understand, it can hurt people. What i care is about your new modules, the reverb and the new comb filter are Terrible, thanks.
i hope you will devellop some new osc with phase mod and, why not, phase distortion.

Do you really mean "terrible" or did you want to say "terrific"? HUGE difference there...kokotte wrote:.... What i care is about your new modules, the reverb and the new comb filter are Terrible, thanks.
