It is a great reverb, i'd love to use it more. Sadly for me, the error reports i've send to the developer have gone unanswered.

Using 32bit vst in Live 9. During playback, even when the reverb is idle, clicks and pops sound randomly.
When i disable the reverb and unload it, then playback is fine. This is 100% reproducible.

ASIO buffer size is irrelevant. As soon as i use a Protoverb in a project there will be clicks and pops in the playback at random.

My guess is, only 32bit vst is affected. It's a small group and no-one else here has mentioned similar experiences.

Please Uhe, whenever you have a moment, can you please take another look at this issue.

I can't imagine that they will. I think Protoverb was always just a test plugin so they could gather data. They said it wasn't guaranteed to work, wasn't optimised and blah blah. I haven't tried it in an age but I remember thinking it sounded pretty good.

I was testing a 32bit version in FL Studio and Reaper when it came out and I had no problems with it whatsoever.
The plugin is a non-optimized CPU hog (because it wasn't even meant to be a real plugin, but rather a testing tool) and that's why after playing around with it for like one hour I used Fruity Convolver to make IR's out of 2-3 presets I liked and after that I removed it from PC.

Protoverb is excellent. I use it often. Unlike others here, I haven't had any issues with it. But yes, it can absolutely kill my CPU.

It sounds hit or miss IMO. I never think to pull it out unless I want to play with it for some random reason.

I agree, it can be hit and miss. For me, there are more hits than misses.

Not very often, no. I really like it. Urs makes sone quality stuff. Its a really cool plugin. Wonder what Urs will do with it in the future.

This shows as an INSTRUMENT on my Studio One 5.1 DAW and nothing will fix that..... So I can't get it to work? And one else have this issue?
