Something a bit different.....

Many years ago I started following Devine Lu Linvega, a game developer/composer who made iOS games. He also developed other iOS applications, like a clock that used line patterns to show time, or one of learning various languages using a word selection game.

Several years ago, him and his girlfriend and fellow developer/artist, RekkaBell, started living on a sailboat. Late last year, one of their Macbooks died. Devine and Rekka are both programmers, and they had a spare Chromebook lying around, so they started developing their own software to replicate what they did day-to-day but on the a limited system.

Devine developed Marabu, a music tracker built from Soundbox. You can hear it here

I've messed around with it a little, and it sounds fantastic. I still have to keep referencing the controls, but I'm sure with enough practice I'll be able to do without.
