I got mine too... I can see why it's free... 100+ pages of ads and paid-for reviews?

I expected some sort of content for some reason :(

I didn't think it was bad at all....but it's definitely blown out of the water by some of the british magz like CM, FM, MTM, and any of the other Acronyms you could throw out there. hehe. I hate to say that being an american myself....but really, the amercian magz should take a hint or two from the british ones.....still though...i enjoyed the issue...i'm sure the next one will be a decent read as well. Thanx KvR! 8)

Peace!

I once got a free sample from Electronic Musician, after one I didn't get anymore...6 months later I got a call from a bill collector saying I owed them money...on my subsciption :? I contacted Electronic Musician and was relieved to know that they never even heard of me, had my name on a subscribers list, billing list, or anything. The bill collectors kept calling so I cited the law to them and first demanded their mailing address so I could send them a cease a decist order, they refused. I told them they were obligated by law to send me a demand letter anyhow. They said I was a crook violating the law. I told them I never signed anything, they kept calling. Finally I gave in and said I would pay them, they gave me a number to wire it to. I never did, but I had the company name, contacted them by mail and told them to stop...they didn't until I gave them a case number from the FTC, they hung up on me...fortunately it didn't effect my credit (wasn't ever even reported), they were bogus and somehow got the free mailing list. When I found (with the help of EM)what they had done I went to file a suit against them (it's an automatic judgement of 1000 dollars if found violating the fair debt collection act)...they were gone. Lock, stock and barrel...I could never chase them down. I too got my EQ hope the same doesn't happen..beware, and it won't be EQ's fault...it's scam artists... :x :x
