Sylenth1 doesn't sound like crap, that's heresy! It sounds, bright, crisp, just lovely  And that cpu usage is insanely low, which is a big plus for me.

I've never been really tempted to try Hyve, because well..after a severe GAS period, I decided to only buy products that I really need and Hyve's been talked about being as the "Sylenth alternative" so much.. Which I already own and use quite frequently :)

Is Hyve's cpu usage as low as Sylenth's'?
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Hive's CPU usage is a bit higher, i would say. Probably more or less up to par with Spire's. Not sure if it really makes much of a difference on a reasonably specced computer though.

True, I'm not on a very recently build laptop so normally it shouldn't be a problem anyways. But I'm kinda afraid that if I buy a new laptop then I would want to buy many new vst plugins (and computer games) too that it can handle easily, so GAS would kick in again.. HEAVILY :hihi:

You can resize the display.

Okay, I did. Now we run into another problem. In order for me to resize Strobe 2 so I can actually read the fonts in the browser, the synth itself no longer fits in the screen. I have to move the synth around to access the far right side of it. I have to do the same thing with ImpOSCar 2, which is why I don't use it for programming. If I can't fit a synth completely in the screen, I can't be bothered with it.

Admit it, it's for patriotic reasons, you know, buy Dutch! Make the Netherlands great again! :hihi:

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Well, you know what? Go back through the KVR history when he was still active and you'll all the arguments he and I got into.

Yeah, I get it man. If you have a problem with a piece of software, keep it to yourself because nobody wants to hear it.

The ones who suffer are the poor guys who come here and can really use hearing all the pros and cons of something so that they can make an informed decision as to whether or not they want to bother demoing the synth.

God knows we can't have any of that here.

Know what? I can put an end to all this right now.

Hink, you've been real good to me. I appreciate all the help you've given me. You tell me now. If you want me to refrain from ever saying anything negative about any piece of software in this forum ever again, consider it done. I don't need the grief that I get whenever I open my mouth and what comes out of it isn't roses and sunshine and what everybody in this place wants to hear.

So say the word and I swear, you and everyone else have heard the last negative word from me about anything in this forum. And if I break that word, you can ban me for life.

Oh I'm being dead serious. Because all I have to do is say I don't like something and the vultures come out. I'm tired of it. So really, I just assume shut my mouth unless all I have to say is praise and glory hallelujahs about something.

Oh, sorry, wagtunes. It's just that your style is somewhat similar to ttoz (TheoM). He owned every single synth and reverb in the world.

Well, you can find me all over the Internet. I have tons of videos of me. I use my real name in many places and I have nothing to hide. I get people don't like me because I'm outspoken. I get that around this place unless you have nothing but praise for something you better keep your mouth shut.

I just think it's sad, that's all.
