well, sort of.

I attended an Apple update today held by New Zealand's Mac distributors.
There was a bit of audio stuff going on there, with a little seminar on M-Audio and IK products. The guy talked about T-Racks and Amplitube (didn't have the heart to tell him I'd ordered T-Racks with the free Amplitube the day before... from esoundz!), and then about ST2 (didnt have the heart to say I bought it a while ago... from esoundz!)

Then he showed some of the Squids demo video, mainly concentrating on the stretch stuff, heard the 'oh baby' stuff. people seemed impressed, I felt like saying 'yeah yeah, haven't you guys seen this yet?'

Unfortunately they didn't show any of the awesome finger drumming though. I think they would have been way impressed by that.

So, hows that for famous!

I read the "Squids spotted" part and thought maybe I was coming down with something.

Actually, I'm a little stressed out about this hurricane plus I ate something bad last night so I am not feeling so hot.

I haven't been able to travel temporarily either so it is nice to know that my demonstration has made its way down to you. KVR and esoundz gets to the world a little faster though. It's funny because I was just thinking about that. How when each of you guys look out the window you could be seeing a drastically different surrounding. Maybe a windmill or a the Tower of London or some incredible landscape or a busy city... the incredible shrinking world we live in.

The idea that anyone else around the world has even thought about the plural of the word Squid is entertaining. Probably you guys will be seeing more and more of me popping up like that. There are few things coming that may even surprise you because they surprised me. But, all that stuff isn't for me to feel important it is to convey the information and hopefully inspire people. I like it because it is doing something that IS commercial but giving something back to society that is positive and useful.

Maybe I am an idealist but I think it would be great if more things were that way. Magazines are that way. You buy it and it gives you knowledge and inspiration. KVR is that way too as a resource and a forum. But, the fast food place that I ate at really ISN'T! Why? Because they were making food that is REALLY bad for you seems tasty and appealing so you are lured in and buy it and now I feel like I am ready to hack. Apart from providing a way for some people to eat unhealthy food quickly for cheap, I don't see how they are realy doing anything good for society.

Ranting a little. I am just not feeling that great which is why I can't sleep.

Hi Squids

It is wednesday now, the hurricane over yet?

Hope you made it safe through it. By the way, I saw some reply with you mentioning maybe playing in the near future with Mike Stern. I cannot find it back.

Keep me informed about this cause I'm a big Stern fan. I played a tune of him for my final exam at concervatory: Jones Street (jack on drums !!!).

Just bought the studio drums capsule too. It's becoming addictive.
