Hey

Just bought all the shreddage 2 guitar libraries, but now it seems it takes one minute to over 2 minutes to load them. Most time seems to take ibz 24k, over 2 minutes. This hasn't happened to me before so I thought to ask here if anybody else has this problem, so they know hwat is causing this is it the library ? or kontakt ? and what to do to solve it if it's possible.

The problem isn't just the amount of time, but how the loading happens in it self. When I drop one of the quitars to kontakt instrument rack, kontakt first freezes totally and nothing happens. This takes most of the time from the total load time. Then this grey window pops up stays couple of seconds. I think this is some sort of sample location window which happens when kontakt can't find the samples from the assigned sample paths, but it's just my quess. Then the instrument itself finally pops up and kontakt starts to load samples to ram. So if when I drop the ibz for example to the rack and the instrument would pop up like it should and then it takes like minute or what ever then this would be normal, but it is this freezing and the grey window which to me seems to indicate some sort of either a bug or coding error.

I have batch resaved the shreddage quitars, but it doesn't help. Interesting though is that when I do this then those guitars open normally, but when I shut down my computer and open kontakt again then this same issue happens. It's like batch resave didn't do shit.

I had similar problem with voxos but without the freezing it first popped up the grey window and it took like 4-6 minutes, but when I did batch resave then it worked normally and now loads the instrument immedately!!!! withouth freezing or the grey window popping before it.

So that is my problem would appreciate if somebody could help.

Unfortunately I don't really understand how or why this happens with some Kontakt instruments. On my computer Shreddage 2 loads instantly and then begins streaming the samples from the disk over the course of about 10 seconds. On the same computer, some other NKIs take 30-60 seconds and seem to freeze/hang Kontakt. I would report this to Native Instruments if you have already tried batch resaving. There is no reason why it should take that long.

Antivirus enabled on the drive where you have samples on? Disallow AV checks on that drive.

thanks for response, I wrote to NI's forum, but their forum is what it is sometimes they don't response and some time they do so let's see what happens.

okay so I disable AV check on the hdd where I have my libraries and it helped. Now what happens it that the ibz 24k which takes the most time to open kontakt still is freezing, but only like 3-5 seconds then grey window pops up so fast that I can't read the text in it and then it start to load into ram so if this is the fastest time then this issue is resolved.

shreddage 2 loading takes over 2 minutes!!!
