Hi this looks really interesting,
could you explain a bit about the changed random functions could found nothing about it so far, whats the difference to the actual random function ?

Sure, if you click on the upper part of the random button, everything will be randomized like which module will be on, which samples, envelopes and everything else which can you see on the screen...
The other part of the random button changed only things like filter and modulation depth, it will never change the envelopes for example or other things you switched on in the module itself, it will only change things in the background... We found this very interesting because you can randomize very quick different sounds out of 1 samples...

Have to beg my wife for using her paypal account but just have to buy this little gem
Not sure if this the right place but I had some (small) issues and so just like to ask in here:
system: win 64, i-3, 8 GB RAM, mulab 6 UL 64 bit, kontakt 5.6.8, voices in modularium turned down to 32 to decrease cpu
- first a little design thing: theres nothing to recognize visual the different random modes, you just have to know where on the random button is "all" and "only effects". Should not be that difficult for example to divide that button into two parts with different colour shade for example (light gray/darker gray)
- then this random buttons took a long time (only tested in mulab 6 UL 64 bit) too finish, when you click on anything in that time (up to 10 seconds while on the first 5 or so you did not get a reaction that at least something is going on, then the cursor gets this turning blue circle) you could kill the daw
- then another effect occurs while using the random button that I have never seen in kontakt/any daw before: the kontakt window just closing while the random process is working
This long time working is kind of a "fun-killer" and doing it while the daw is playing (like I usually do with these kind of random function) is impossible.
I will maybe try later on waveform but I dont think it is a mulab thing.
And just to use the opportunity for some requests
:
- I bought it because of the random opportunities, would be great if they could be develloped further (on modules ? some settings "how to" random ?)
- I know it will be some work but I really would like "named" samples to get just a climpse of what I turn on/off, you know just a little hint instead of just "numbers"

First of all, thank you for your post...
Frank
Good idea, wrote it down to our list.- first a little design thing: theres nothing to recognize visual the different random modes, you just have to know where on the random button is "all" and "only effects". Should not be that difficult for example to divide that button into two parts with different colour shade for example (light gray/darker gray)
Please, load the stand alone and try again, we have only 1-2 seconds here on our machine while the random button finished the work, let me know, please, what happened... We never tried Kontakt in the mulab6 DAW.- then this random buttons took a long time (only tested in mulab 6 UL 64 bit) too finish, when you click on anything in that time (up to 10 seconds while on the first 5 or so you did not get a reaction that at least something is going on, then the cursor gets this turning blue circle) you could kill the daw

Hi Frank,
This time I counted, its nearer to 20 seconds then to ten I am afraid....
I just lately have used another new library (Abstrung) with much higher system conditions and similiar concept with "random" that works without problem on my system in the time you mentioned (1-2 seconds).
EDIT: just tested loading the multipatches that works without problems (cpu sometimes too much for my system with 3 X 128 voices, but then I get cpu overload sign in mulab and can redudes voices, but loading works as it should in a few seconds and while daw is playing
good idea with kontakt standalone, but sadly same problem on my systemPlease, load the stand alone and try again, we have only 1-2 seconds here on our machine while the random button finished the work, let me know, please, what happened.

The standalone version needs 20 seconds? Argh, strange... We try to reproduce the problem on one of our systems...This time I counted, its nearer to 20 seconds then to ten I am afraid....

Some more strange: I thought it was useless but thought I just try, load my last waveform project (which is more then stredging the borders of my system with > 7 GB ram used, cpu > 50 %, lot of cpu/ram intensiv libs in it) and just replaced the reaktor pad with kontakt modularium 2. And, believe it or not, there random works like you said with 1-2 seconds, I can let the daw play the song while hitting the button....
So maybe it is just something strange with my system, if it dont occure anywhere else please dont investigate to much time I am fine with running in waveform though it IS strange that it happens in the standalone version.

Thank you that you tried it our by yourself, saved me a lot of time!
But strange that it happened on the standalone version, too... I'm no windows expert so i can't really help you on your system... I'm mainly on the mac...

Oh no, i'm always thinking about new ideas and to make it better... But that's not easy because i always want to have the sounds working from previous versions in the actual version...tatanka wrote:Hi Frank,
great. Looks like devellopment of this will go on, very happy about that. It has so many potential so great to see its not stopping here

by the way, you can win "Modularium" by enter the review from Noizefield..
They said: ... The concept and the main idea with the individual “sound” modules of this library is quite unique.... ... Modularium is an very inspiring instrument, the patches are inviting to play and several patches sound like instant Hollywood right out of the box...
