both mixer/device rack are look awesome, Reason sync the view between mixer/rack/seq nicely, the problem starts after u try to do something in/with the sequencer ... other parts are ok for me (ok the browser also bit outdated)

^ THIS. I've been using it on dual monitors for well over a decade, but I can't imagine every using it on a single - especially smaller 13" 4K/Retina display.jjpscott01 wrote:Man I guess as always this sort of thing is going to be a matter of preference but one of the reasons I still love working in the Reason is the way it looks. I run it on windows 10 with 2 monitors (both 27 inch) and it looks great my way. With that said, I don't actually run my monitors at the highest resolution simply as a matter of taste so I can see how it would bother those who are.
that setup looks comfy!!!xbitz wrote:yepp, this setup is working beautifully too
If Propellerhead changed the native sample rate cv, would that affect any of the cv-based REs in their shop?gentleclockdivider wrote: a cv rate that is ACTUAL audio rate , which the props didn't update the last 15 years ( still remains a 64th of the actual sample rate ).
The "contaminator"...jjpscott01 wrote:Not always, some newer plugins are optimized so well that they actually lower cpu while performing the same or even more functions. I definitely agree with you though, Id love to see them upgrade the contaminator as its a seriously powerful tool as it is now. Maybe even add some more custom GUI options for the designers out there to play with.festeringheap wrote:This seems to be high on many users list. I use the Combinator a lot - best part of Reason, imo.starflakeprj wrote:An updated Combinator is high on my wishlist as well,
However, until the CPU issues are resolved with Reason, wouldn't an upgraded Combi start causing more CPU problems - the added complexity causing more strain on the system?
I don't think "CV rate" - whether it's a 64th of the actual sample rate or not - would affect how it works, nor what you hear. I'd love to see (hear) a real-world use case scenario, though.festeringheap wrote:If Propellerhead changed the native sample rate cv, would that affect any of the cv-based REs in their shop?gentleclockdivider wrote: a cv rate that is ACTUAL audio rate , which the props didn't update the last 15 years ( still remains a 64th of the actual sample rate ).
It's still eye bleeding.Studio Saturn wrote:Have they added darker theme for the SSL or still eye bleeding?
Too late. Milking the cow is so obvious - it's a business, but...saturdaysaint wrote:Probably worth mentioning that the top criticism I saw of Reason 9's announcement was long-in-the-tooth synth sounds - "Wut, still no new instruments since Kong/Thor" was a common refrain. Granted, most people here probably have so many plugins that it would barely matter if they threw in the Arturia collection, but it was probably time for some more competitive instruments.
Anyway, I find that Props almost predictably respond to the top requests/gripes - MIDI out, integrated REX slicing, integrated pitch correction, and of course VST were all implemented more or less in the order they were demanded. I only point this out because thanks to this thread, I predict that the sequencer will get a lot of focus in Reason 11, and perhaps some high DPI monitor enhancements (I only hedge on this because I'd like to know how many musicians are actually using such monitors).
OK, that's nice to know.EnochLight wrote:Actually, it's pretty much open to everyone.Sailor16 wrote:Personally, I hope that PH will consider opening up Reason even more to third party developers. The API for rack extensions is only available for registered companies, AFAIK, it's not "open" to everyone.It's not hard at all to register yourself as an LLC in most countries and become a "1-person company". The vast majority of all the RE's in the shop are exactly that - independent developers that are just "1-person companies".

@festeringheap - care to share?
You don't have to be an LLC. Simply depends on the laws of your country. I'm a simple DBA (in the US) without any filing and I was granted access. Just need a tax number.Sailor16 wrote:OK, that's nice to know.EnochLight wrote:Actually, it's pretty much open to everyone.Sailor16 wrote:Personally, I hope that PH will consider opening up Reason even more to third party developers. Still it would be even greater if that "1-person company" restriction was lifted off, so that all users could just access the API without having to first register oneself as an LLC.
