Zebralette

I'm fine with the OSC not getting too 'big' .. it's just fine the way it is.

I knew you could sort that out in a breeze - and the snare sounds a lot tighter now.

Could it be, that I can go and create sounds elsewhere and kind of export it to zebralette? ... where is the thin border between creativity and cheating in such an setup?
Well, if you are not after some specific sound from this world there are infinite numbers of different worlds already built into little Zebralette .

Different Stories

Who knows where this might lead to and which kind of space it will describe eventually.

Okay, I have just started my AudioTerm instance, loaded the "K-Term" example sample, sliced and diced it with K-Term and threw 12 slices into Wav2Zebra.
Loaded it into Zebralette and tweaked some parameters around it...Result is in Attachments

Here's my early WIP with mostly preset sounds. Going for something a bit more uplifting this time, found something that reminds me of Super Nintendo RPG's and probably going to run with it. :)

Following the teachings of holy fm8 I made a noise burst which could be used for claps, snare tails, world domination. Add reverb to taste. I also included a looped noise, dans ma grande mansuétude...

Not a rapper, but Zebralette can say "K-Term". In the file attached you can find the original sample from AudioTerm Software - a voice saying "K-Term" - and the second file in flac format is the translation into Zebralette Wavetables. The flac is directly coming from Cubase export.
Let's see if I can get me a melotron choir sample into this, seems like it would be fun and it's sounds quite resonable to me.

I'm really, really starting to have enormous fun with Zebralette... the sound is wicked! My choir is conceptually the same I did for MUX synth before. I feel right at home right now! Though, MUX offers a lot more control, of course, but still... YAY! :D

This synth is far too versatile, easy to use, excellently coded, wielding industry leading preset management, and too pleasing to the ear for osc. There must be some mistake.

Answering this great question has led me to seek elderly homosexual people, as indicated by recent OSC posts. Why? Still, nobody knows. Therefore, I'm relieved that there's an abundance here in Cali.
3. Cry me a river!
 Best Q&A!

I've only been here for a year and if you look at osc 32 it's clearly a very different crew - except Ruedi ofc. Ruedi is awesome. I suspect we'll see a couple more veterans coming through for this one.

The sky is the limit with this synth, zebrallette. Let alone the wealth of great skins and wavetables available which I could spend a lifetime developing further. The wavetable folder is ...\Zebra2.data\Modules\Oscillator and you can make your own out of .wav using Wav2Zebra2Osc

How do we setup and use the wav2zebra2Osc ????

Just get the release:
https://github.com/perivar/AudioVSTToolbox/releases

It has an .exe, which you can just run. The rest should explain itself, I imagine. You can load samples into the cells and then export the whole thing as a wavetable into the Oscillators folder above your presets folder, I assume. I don't know what other fancy things it can do, but I did try the simple cell loading and exporting thing to make my choir patch. If you do know how to deal with wavetables, it should be fairly straight forward.

Thanks Mr. T! Just didn't find the .exe ... yeah, wavetables will be fine. Did dev work with the Gravis Ultrasound folk - got a free one to play with - Windows 95 times! I did a choir too with it - worked OK.

So, I wonder what I will do with this beast! Gregorian chants? Filmic stuff? I fancy doing some ambisonic type things too - but it will depend how quickly I can get a track together with the right sounds to make good use of the tech.

How far do you think we can go with the wavetable stuff?
