Could be a misunderstanding, in my mail it says that if somebody buys Falcon now, she/he gets 2 expansions for free.starflakeprj wrote:Nothing in mine either, maybe SJ_Digriz is just making this up? Screenshot or it didn't happen..
UVI Falcon - v4 = 2026 released - rumors, ads, praise, kindergarden, auto-sampling and off-topic inside!

Here's what I got; dunno if the Code really is unique/personal, but just in case…starflakeprj wrote:Nothing in mine either, maybe SJ_Digriz is just making this up? Screenshot or it didn't happen..

My email didn't look like any of the ones above, for me it was just information about v1.4.
It could be because I already own all the expansions though.

Yeah, I have a bunch of the non-falcon libraries + the stand alone plugins, so maybe I got a bone. Happy for the bonestarflakeprj wrote:My email didn't look like any of the ones above, for me it was just information about v1.4.

Heck if I'd known half the patches in Atmospherics were made by Bigtone I would have bought it sooner - why don't they make more of that?

What are people using to control Falcon? For me this is the main reason I don't like it as much as Alchemy, even though in many respects it's just as powerful and open ended as a sound design platform - but there seems to be very little consideration of actual performance with it using a hardware controller. If I midi learn macros they are forgotten again as soon as I change patches, and there is no way to setup a controller once and then forget about it. No NKS compatibility either. Not even sure if it has a stable set of VST automation params for use in Kore - it's so complex it's hard to know where to start. It has OSC but I have no idea what you can do with that.

That is a funny question as I've fought the same issue. So like in Halion you have the 8 quick controls. Which itself is too limited, but at least I know I can have 8 controls consistently mapped to something every time + mod and pitch.aMUSEd wrote:What are people using to control Falcon? Really all I think you can do is save patch by patch after you do learn, which is pretty much how Kontakt is too. Of course it's all just the down side to amazing flexibility.

8 quick controls - where? I see macros for many patches but the number of controls varies enormously and they don't remember controllers assigned (yes you can save but only to a new location)

Sorry it wasn't clear ... IN HALION they get around this problem by providing anchor controls. You can still have 90239409238409234 macro controls on the macro page, but you can default 8 of them to a known control parameter. It's better than nothing. Although it is one more level of controller abstraction.aMUSEd wrote:8 quick controls - where? In NKS, I'd prefer the CC was a 1 to 1 fixed map to the knob, and KK would handle the remapping of controls as you paged. You could use any controller with it that way (which is probably why they don't).
Anyhow, other than saving every patch as you go, I don't know of another solution.

I gotta take time for this. Have it since introprice but never spend much time with it. With simons demos i got again interested!

so, biggest program ever, and no actual, fixed macro knobs? that's really dumb. people expect more than just the modwheel and aftertouch to tweak a sound nowadays. then again, omnisphere doesn't have any either, I guess - equally dumb.
what kind of dark, twisted thinking leads to a workstation instrument without macros?
