In my experience this has happened several times - thread isn't closed, it's deleted completely so no one would ever know if people had posted other issues and had them closed. But the forums don't have a lot of support posts so go figure.chk071 wrote:Why did they close the thread you created on the Tone2 forums? I mean.. the way i know them, they don't just close threads for nothing.

TBH, i don't see a real support forums section on their forums anyway. They probably expect you to send them a support mail. I consider that the better option anyway.

Yeah maybe but it's usually a good idea before asking for support to just check with other users if they are having a similar experience and if you have done everything right, otherwise it may just be a dumb mistake on your part in which case don't waste the time of support, or something that can easily be resolved collectively.

I like the sound of it, the Vintage and Funky audio demo on their site sounds pretty analog, warm and authentic to me.starflakeprj wrote:Saurus2 on the other hand is supposed to be an analog (warm) sounding synth, but in my ears this is far from how I experience it. Compare with, for instance, ACE or Diva from u-he and there are lightyears between. Not saying Saurus2 is not a good synth, but it's pretty "cold" to be, more metallic.
So, it seems more a matter of programming and using it right.

This thread got me curious about Nemesis. I might give a demo a chance. I have Electra 2 and the workflow is not really my cup of tea, all though it sounds very nice.

I always liked the sound of Electra2 best from the Tone2 synths (Saurus 2 is nice too). By far the worst for me is Firebird. I don't know, i guess they really exaggerated too much with the psychoacoustic stuff, which is not defeatable in Firebird. As far as i read (i haven't tried it myself), Gladiator is supposed to be similar in that regard. Electra2 sounds more linear, even though it still has that Tone2 vibe to it, but, not in a bad way. Reminds me a bit of Waldorf and the Virus.

Well it didn't work in this case but there's no way of knowing that in advancechk071 wrote:Maybe, but, obviously, not in this case.
