Hey, shoosh. Let me be hopeful over the weekend.ttoz wrote:the official announcement in the cubase forums deals with thie issue and has to be current as was just made, and clearly says that the price from 2-3 will be the same as from 1-3.

I guess the final word is $150 US dollar. It will not be shipping until about the 20th, here in the states. It's also shipped on DVD, if anyone cares to know.
Peace..

I'm fuckin steppin off the Steinberg treadmill now.
Pathetic that 50 Euros would make the difference but it has
I can't see the justification for charging the same for SX1 and SX2 upgrades.
99 Euros would have been the right gesture to people who have been on the treadmill since 3.7
I can't see any new feature to justify this update/upgrade (PDC in version 2 was fair enough)
Actually I think I might wait for SX4 and get for the same price as new SX3 purchasers....
I've just had enough
With SX2.2, FLS, Reason and now Abelton Live 4 I think I've got enough to be getting on with
Looking forward to really getting to grips with all these bits of kit now.....

If this (and the information it contains) is true, particularly: "There is a special update package available for customers who bought Cubase SX2 after the 15th of July 2004" then I will be extremely pissed off.Glooper wrote:or view the price list on the web-site...

Ben
I ordered the SX1 to SX2 upgrade on 22nd June, and eventually got it on the 11th July (as the distributors were out of stock). If I have to pay another £99 to upgrade to SX3 this may well be the end of my relationship with Steinberg.

No reason to buy right now if you don't want to. I upgraded to SX2 (from SL 1) in March, so I'm thinking of waiting a few months.DETECT2 wrote:Will they charge extortionate amounts to go from SL2 to SX3?
Or does anyone know if they will make an SL3?
Im only just getting to grips with SL2
By then the first patch should be out as well!

It's starting to look like I'm going to have to get pissed!!!
I JUST bought the upgrade to SX2 not two weeks ago for $149! Had I waited, it looks like I could have gotten SX3 upgrade from SX1 for the exact same price! That's just plain wrong! Now I have to shell out another $149 to go from 2 to 3?
This pricing structure really gives some people the shaft!

Q: Are there any special conditions for customers who have bought Cubase SX2 very recently?
A: There is a special update package available for customers who bought Cubase SX2 after the 15th of July 2004. Please contact your regional distributor for details on ordering and pricing.

It gives everyone who purchased the SX1 -> SX2 upgrade the shaft regardless of when they purchased it.EarthTones wrote:It's starting to look like I'm This pricing structure really gives some people the shaft!
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer
