I use dimension expanders or stereo imagers like "a1 stereo" (the free ozone imager is nice too btw) not as a creative tool, but more for placing instruments in the mix and for mono compatibility, they dont change the sound imho and are usually low cpu, whereas a chorus, flanger are creative effects in my book, they change the sound drastically.

Anyway, ill just pan synths and maybe add a simple delay, verb if necessary.

Back to my sound design ;)

Question is why do you need this dimension expander for this round? Zebralette can do this on it's own.

yeah, you could create a mono sub for your bass and layer it with a wide mid-bass sound to get some stereo goodness without dinging the low-end too much, all possible w/ this synth by itself.

btw zebralette is one hell of a freebie, wow.

Has anyone of you been crazy enough to try a tuned delay string with it, yet!? :D
...I did, well, just for fun, because it's irrational to put such a monster into a track, unless the monster is all, haha. But, yeah, it's quite fun. Pity the delay times (percentages) can't have automation.

True, but you can control them through midi, so that's pretty close if you use a midi lfo or whatever-u-got :D
I'm guessing Mux is plenty flexible enough to do that, given it's easy enough in Ableton...
...lots of cools sounds from that (not that I've used any in my track yet!)

Dont know if im gonna use those but here are some drum experiments:

Question, can I use Obscurium as a MIDI/CC sequencer? And can I use Bidule instead of DAW?

Using Bidule instead of another DAW would be OK I think - maybe just hard work but whatever works for you!

I don't think Obscurium is acceptable as it is a non-free 'sequencer-thing'. I have assumed it's not allowed anyway - or I might try it :D

Huh...didn't show up in the generic controls, though. Seems like there's no access to those in MuLab, but that's because it likely was intended. Kinda freaky that Ableton can ignore that?! :?

Did you try right clicking the control you want and sending it some midi first? - that was how I got access to it...

Uh dear...you're right! There's actually a Midi Learn (pfff)... :o ...what now! The possibilities are insane!
But no...well, it's very flimsy. I can't "easily" control min/max of the controller, because there's still no "regular" access to it. Tuning becomes rather impossible, I'm afraid.

I know! So many different directions you can take this thing, I've been struggling to settle on something!

yeah I feel the same way. The sonic capabilities are so overwhelming it's been hard for me to settle on a theme to move forward with...

Funny enough, after my very common start with making drums, I pretty much went straight for music and then began tailoring sounds for the music, rather than getting hung up on the sound possibilities to tailor a song around them, you know. This thing is really quite something.
