In my last couple of hours with the synth I came up with some great sounds, totally non-EDM, so I would say there are a lot of good things to find here for any genre, although many of the presets may suggest a more aggressive EDM direction.
- I love the very clear high spectrum. On my AKG K701 its bliss.
- The Harmonic Filter is awesome! :-)
- It's quite amazing what variety one can get out of a single waveform through the OSC FX.
- Totally love the Glitch Sequencer to add some spice.
- Programming is very easy and the presets for each area make it quick to dial in the basic direction.

This is a keeper.

Great work Dmitry!!! :tu:

Cheers,

Tom

A 27" 16:9 monitor should be more than optimal, if you have issues with reading GUI's now. (IIRC, you're on a 17" 5:4 monitor now, right?)
Not sure a 27" will work for him, given how low he has his resolution set on the 17". As someone suggested in another thread, he might be better off moving up to a 19", running at the same resolution as he has now.

You can run screens at non-native resolutions but not without blurriness issues.
On the other hand, it's all more or less optimized for full HD resolution now, so, some lower resolution will always result in some compromises you have to take. But, a 17" with some lower resolution should be really bad, because GUI's get cut off, or not? 1280x1024 would be the absolute minimum i would use on a 17". If wagtunes is really using something lower, then i have no idea how he manages screen space properly, because plugins will be huge, and, as i mentioned, some will even have cut off GUI elements, probably.[/quote]

I'm running 1280x1024

The size of the plugin is not the problem. It's the same size as Sytrus, which I have no problem programming and is an absolute joy. The problem is the fonts are crap, period.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Anyways, this was unexpected. Haven't bought a new synth in 2 years. Will I buy this one? Off to try the demo then I can have a winge here too :scared: :hihi:

Mh... i wondered about the oscillator stereo spread, which doesn't spread. Maybe that's the reason then.
SPR. Spreads all unison voices over the left and right channels according to the value set.

Did you set the unison to > 1?
Works fine here.

Just released two sound demos of it :)

Probably not, seems he is more interested in figuring out screen sizes for other users :P

THANK YOU for the generous 90 seconds between noise for the demo. Some devs put noise in every 15 or 20 seconds.....which often makes me NOT want to buy. :x It's like they are trying to make sure you absolutely cannot test it any of your tracks at all. :dog:

Installed the demo of the VST2 in latest Studio One. Works flawless (Demo limitation is def not annoying in fact it's very user friendly). I agree that the difference between "normal" and "large" GUI is to big tho' i can live with the big size (34", 3440 x 1440 screen) atm.

Sound is totally clean & crisp whatever.. ..and it doesn't eat my CPU. :hihi:

I don't think i need that synth but then again it's totally worth the price and could replace some.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Not bad, IMO. Nicely clean. Only two algorithms (Plate & Space) though, and not many options. And the Space algorithm has those early reflections (or whatever, no idea about that really), which makes it sound more like an echo with percussive, or plucky sounds. Not really fond of that, in any reverb.

@ core: I set the unison voices, but, it just doesn't work. I guess there's, as jonsolo wrote, a bug in the VST3, which makes it only output mono. Pan control in the plugin doesn't work either.

Then even a 24" will give you bigger interfaces, on full HD (1920x1080) resolution. 17" 1280x1024 is roughly similar to 22" 1920x1080 (i had both sizes, so i could compare). And a 27" will give you even bigger interfaces. I don't think they cost a fortune either these days.

They don't cost the earth. I recently got a 27" Dell S2715H for about 250 euros on Amazon. Beautiful screen. 1920x1080 at that size makes daily computing so much better for my ageing eyes.

Ok so we are making a bug list now. Does Dmitry Sches frequent KVR?

Would you consider it an improvement over Diversion's reverb?
