my 2 cents
- Ability to "pin" favorite folders at the top in built-in file browser would be a nice thing - and symlink follower - I speak for mac but windows 10 is no stranger of symlinks now days.
- A reverse mode in sample player would be nice
- Drumsamples browser by /Expansion/Kit Name/ - can't imagine how are they packed so different that makes the live browsing and audition preview impossible (since Phalanx can handle well monolith proprietary banks).
- Ability to proper browse and audition the drum kits and build custom kits (if I want to make a kit full of claps from the ones in drum library, let me do that - the way it is right now is so damn frustrating to use)
- Ability to load drum samples in regular oscs - so many can be used for fx is a pity not to be put to good use, my library folder increases with duplicates (after importing them) just because I can't use similar sounds from drum banks.

Also not sure if this is possible or just a bad idea, but it would be nice to be able to offset the notes in the chord section. Would be great for fast strumming techniques, even more so the spike could be implemented with the offsets. :D

its more than just saying, this and this feature would be cool. Even if the idea is nice, there is absolutely no space in the chorder section for this :(

it will stay as it is, I see no purpose in scrolling the patterns, just disadvantages

Still, his (/her) suggestion is quite valid. And a good idea, if you ask me
my answer still stays: for more complex tasks, why not using the ModEnv? Its basically the same

sorry, but we have so many ideas for improvements and so little time, we cant do everything, especially if I am not convinced of it.
True, many ideas are good, bring them on, but order it in importance.
Maybe use Trello, as Cantabile does? Very handy for the developper, users have insight and they can vote.
Only benefits as I see it.

Most important focus for Avenger now is performance:
- optimise the code, loading, osc performance,... (there's room for as I see it)
- split up the skins from the source
- lighter dll plugin weight

* faster GUI, which do not flash white,
reorganize GUI layout to optimise screen estate
sharper fonts

* fix crashes with Nvidia GPUs on macOS
At the momemt Avenger is unstable on Computers (Xeon Mac, Custom Mac, eGPU Mac) with some Nvidia GPUs (eg Pascal)

* to be able to enter numeric values on any control.
eg try to set 50% on the delay shift , even while holding shift it is pita

* effect, something like quadrafuzz 1 would be lovely :-)

Somehow these are good news, too :)
Well, I don't consider the current browser experience to be a "little request". Having to hit your right-arrow just to load the patches you're previewing is ridiculously archaic, and serves no purpose other than to make the experience cumbersome. Patches should auto-load as you arrow up and down through a particular library directory. Please consider this, at least as an option for those of us who rely upon Avenger's fantastic stock soundbank or 3rd part banks as patch tweakers.

I'm having trouble getting my EDM1 expansion to work after installing the 1.2.3 update. Is there a separate key file for expansions?

If I follow the instructions that appear in the plugin GUI, only the plugin key file shows up and when I select it a dialog pops up telling me that the installation was successful, but this dialog does not close when I click ok, and the expansion remains locked.

Sorry if this has been explained before.

My system:
Win 10 Pro 64bit
Cubase 9 Pro
Somewhere on your computer there is a file named AVGR.license. I’m on mac, so I can’t point the location. Find it and delete it and import the fresh key again
I have the same problem and deleting avgr.license and reimporting the file didn't help. It is not possible to click "ok" on the popup that appears as if it was on another layer, in fact it is possible to click the buttons of the popup underneath. Very weird.

1.2.4 here.

Hi, this is what you must do:

Log in to your account at VPS, then REGISTER your EBM1 expansion (yes, it has got a serial number of its own, check the invoice you got when you bought it). After Registration, your expansion will be listed under "My products".

Enter your SYSTEM-ID, then download the KEY file again. Import this new KEY file into Avenger.

Now your expansion will be unlocked.

In case you don't know what your SYSTEM-ID is: Remove that old AVGR.license file before opening Avenger. On opening the synth will tell you that there is no license file AND give you the SYSTEM-ID to be entered at VPS.
That solved it thanks!

I do not think thats good... if you want to scroll down with the arrow keys for 20 files you have to load them all one after the other! This is terrible!
Whats the problem navigate to the desired preset and then press right arrow... its not that its that far away on the keyboard from the up/down arrows, it can be pressed nearly instantly ;)
I dont get the point why this should be "ridiculously archaic" sorry.

Well, look at it this way: IMHO, you're doing it wrong. In Serum, it's instant loading. In Spire, it's instant loading. In Dune 2, it's instant loading. Hell, even in Reason, all synths can be auditioned like this. I'm not sure if you're just so immersed in VPS Avenger development, that you're not aware that most other top-tier synths allow previewing patches by just arrowing up and down and having the preset auto-load.

Frankly, your approach is cumbersome, is all. And for a synth as complex and deep as Avenger, every bit of "make it easier for the user" is appreciated. Just say'n.

And you don't need to auto-load every single one if you scroll down - just put a small pause in between selections. This is how most other VST (and Reason) handle it.

When will the rating system be added for presets?

Ah tag "favorite " would be nice.

Uhm, as for me, I don't want it to load by selection nor have it a pause.
I want direct loading when i hit the button (right arrow in this case), that's control. Every delay in loading time is crucial on stage.

But true, fast loading is crucial.
Wow spire loads fast, it's probably not sample based?

Spire is an virtual analog synth, so that's probably why it's so immediate. But even Serum or Dune 2 loads pretty damn quick, and certainly a lot quicker than having to keep hitting the right arrow every time you want to audition a patch. :x :x :x
