Yes, I know, thanks. I fixed it, release version will pass that.

Quick update. Was very buisy lately. The readable manual is very soon to be finished (it's written, has to be edited). A couple of other small things to be made too. Getting closer to 1.1.0 release.

Post

Looking forward to it.

While I'm wrapping things up, I could use some help with specific compatibility tests.

Guys who use Logic, if you have time, please do the following:
1. delete the old Ribs.component
2. launch Logic without it
3. close Logic
4. install new Ribs.component (release candidate here: https://yadi.sk/d/vgXMx7u_3P3w9T)
5. launch Logic
6. check if Ribs is validated
7. check if it's available in MIDI-controlled FXs or elsewhere in fx/instrument lists.
8. Rejoice

NB: it might happen that even after [2] and [3] Logic crashes for the first time after updating Ribs. The second launch should be ok.

If you can't make it to [8], please send your error log (or at least OSX and Logic versions) to ribsey@ya.ru
Using e-mail helps to avoid flooding this thread and organize bug reports.

Thanks!

Looking good here. No crashes. Validates. Works. :)

(Logic 10.3.2. on Mac OS 10.12).

Thanks! The new versions of OSX and Logic seem to work fine. The older the versions, the stranger behavior I've seen.

Hi everybody!
I've released a new stable version. It has many improvements and a number of new features (some of which you already know).
The most important are:
- OSX support
- input channel range config
- new refill mode
- continuous scratching through the buffers
- randomization of beat ratios
- optional effect of beat ratios in NOTES mode

And there's a pdf manual in the download folder too :)
Also, I've added several .fxp presets with descriptions, perhaps they could be useful.

I really like the sound I'm getting out of this thing, I like the art direction with the GUI and the whole synthesis engine is damn good and fun to use.

BUT, how come you cannot save the refills whatsoever?
This annoyance makes Ribs basically useless to me and my workflow. :scared: :tantrum:

thank u for the update. looking forward to trying it and the beta out this weekend.

@zenvoxpop: yep, I know. I'd like to add it too, but in the payed version :)

@rcrath: I'm planning a new release next week with several nice new features including FX mode, where you don't need to use MIDI to trigger voices. It's way easier to use for most of the people. Will look something like this:

So Idk, if you are not very geeky then maybe you want to save yourself some pain :)
Also, as you see, there's some GUI redesign. It's more logical now, I think.
