I bought yesterday TAL-Sampler to use with Renoise and Reason. Now when using patch with "FX Delay Time" modulated in Mod Matrix, it keeps crashing all the time.

I first noticed this with the patch "EV-AlienCommunications-Hold" (Factory Presets->Empty Vessel->FX) that causes the crash. If replaced by another patch, it doesn't crash. However if I just replace sample in that patch with another sample it still keeps crashing.

I then started to pinpoint this problem, disabling options and modulations one by one. Finally noticed that if I delete "FX delay time" modulated by LFO 2 from the modulation matrix, crashes stopped.

I then loaded "Init patch" and put FX Delay Time into mod matrix and assigned it to the LFO 1. After playing around maybe 20 seconds, it crashed again.

These problems happen with both Renoise 3.1.1 and Reason 9.5 so hopefully dev can fix this bug. I also mailed this problem to the support from their website.

Some other problems: minor GUI bugs like Reverb button not always being lit up even when in use and patch name not always updating when changing patches

MAC version 1.9.88 doesn't seem to be affected by this bug, only PC version 1.9.87

Also tried TAL-Sampler 1.9.87 with another PC running Windows 7 Enterprise and it crashes. For the patch "EV-AlienCommunications-Hold", If you set Mod Matrix value to zero for "FX delay time", it stops crashing.

If you modulate "FX delay time" with "P1" in Mod matrix or simply just adjust "FX delay time" directly from its control it doesn't seem to crash, so crashes only when modulated with an LFO. Maybe there is some kind of a value overflow that the program can't handle.

Developer has released PC Version 1.9.88 but unfortunately it still crashes with both Renoise and Reason when modulating FX Delay Time with LFOs. I even tried it with Cockos Reaper and that also crashed very quickly.

Also worth mentioning that it almost always crashes not just the plugin but DAW so when the crash happens, there is no chance to save your project file.

Looks like this problem is fixed with new version 1.9.89

Thank you for taking time to post this. It's good to know such things and that they've been resolved. :tu:
