Yes, it would be great if someone would continue to work on Independence, but I do not think it will happen, unfortunately. I think the last update to Independence was around 8 years ago? I wonder what the former employees and the people that recorded their sound libraries are doing now. Maybe they are still around.Mikelo wrote:

Same as you, I've got Independence Pro and I've had it since Yellow Tools. Still use it in every project. I do hope they (Magix) expand on it. Outstanding library.
As for another recommendation, take a look at Lyrical Distortion for acoustics.
After not being able to use the library for a long time, I was surprised how well Indie's library stood the test of time. Especially the instruments they released separately (before being included in Independence 3) still sound very good to my ears. The Culture percussion instruments are still a joy to play and the Majestic basses are still extremely useful and I can not think of a bass library that sounded significantly better to me. Still love the Upright Bass. The Candy saxophones certainly can not compete in playabilty with Samplemodeling's saxes and do not have the wealth of articulations of Chris Heins horn library, but tone-wise they are still awesome. At the very least they are useful for giving sax sections some growl. Aah, nostalgia...
@LyricalDistortion now that you mention it, I remembered that I actually own a few of their libraries. I purchased them years ago for a very good price, one or two sreel string guitars and a nylon. Maybe I can still find them on my backup HD. Thanks for reminding me
