The end of a legend, or the start of point for something better?
Our friends at Applied Acoustics Systems have today announced Tassman 4 has been depreciated and is no longer available for sale.

Sad to see it go. But that is has been hanging on this far is quite remarkable. I do hope they will come out with something new.

+1 it has been kept on life support for some time.

Tassman 4 v1 was released as far back as April 2004 :o

Oh no.. It is/was one of my favorite modular software synthesizers. I was hoping for years for an upgrade, although it still works and sounds lovely. Bummer.

Thread title should be "AAS Tassman 5 won't ever be" though

No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

Appearently it can still be bought - without any guarantees that it stops working with the next OS upgrade:

Almost have given up hoping for Tassman 5 - almost :)

AAS have endeavored to evolve Tassman over almost “20 years”, but the old code archive is proving too difficult and constraining to modify. Instead, they are investing efforts into something new… so, stay tuned
So what will it be? :hyper:

AAS Website says:
Can I still buy Tassman 4?

Yes, Tassman 4 can still be purchased at the student price of $99 but it's sold as-is. You can verify that Tassman 4 works on your system by downloading the final installers via the links provided on this page. There is no guarantee that any update will be provided. You can purchase Tassman 4 via this link.
