That is because I use '/' for separating the subgroups internally on both Windows and macOS. That is converted to backslash on Windows when files are accessed. The solution will be using '\' (or any other rarely used character). I will fix it tomorrow. Thanks BluGenes for reporting this!

no problem, always glad to help.. In my video, it also would not delete. Is this a side affect?

The issue with slashes are fixed now. In the future you can use slashes in group and phrase names (e.g. "3/4") on both Windows and macOS.
(Internally backslashes are used in group names, slashes in path and filenames are converted to underscore '_' . So even today you can use underscore in phrase names which will appear as '/' in future versions.)

Right! This also works well now. I tested adding, renaming, removing, so hopefully everything will work flawlessly. Thank you so much for reporting this!

Hi Attila

the _ is often used in filename. i write often for example piano_bright because i know spaces in file names take sometimes problems. some VST plugins do not handle the space and start DAW instead in string input. so my habit i think of more people is to use _ instead of space. to not confuse maybe a character that is not so often use is more future compatible

Hi magicmusic,

thank you for the feedback. Let's use a different character. Other less frequently used valid filename characters are ~, @, $, %, ^.
Maybe @ and % is used more often. So I'll choose one of ~, $ and ^. So a phrase called "Chord 3/4" will be written into the "Chord 3^4" file. I hope that sounds good. The user won't realize the usage of these characters, he will see slashes in phrase and group names.

Thanks!

Hi Attila

currently the user need rename phrases in file windows manager. only RC browser that can rename is instruments. so a user see the name translation sooner or later

I thought maybe down the road you could add percussion phrases, then I thought of ChordPulse, maybe you could have styles like that, as it has drums, bass and chords ??

If it hasn't been suggested, I'd love an ostinato generator, with all the intervals.

Please explain. All I know is that ostinato is a repeating pattern, but repetition is possible (well, strongly suggested :)) in RapidComposer. So will you describe what you mean by ostinato generator? How it should work, what kind of pattern it should create...

Thank you!

I believe that, in fact, it's about simulating an interactive synthesizer and applying its styles to creating tracks, lines and phrases.
I would like to add that the styles must be reprogrammed by the user (with changes to each line of each musical instrument with the help of the midi controller or midi files or phrases) and are applicable for all styles. And, probably, this is a programmable style with application to any track or piece of the whole composition ..
Yes, of course, I would like to have my custom presets, in order to quickly apply my styles when compositing a song.
Thank you .
(but only, of course, this will be MY styles and the standard set of styles can be quite modest, but also replenishable too ..
Perhaps there are other views)
