Hi,

Every person who has a DAW and downloads some nice VST free plugins can potentially produce great sounding tracks nowadays. Therefore, for me, looking at KVR has more to do with finding fx that make my instruments and vocals sound more interesting, rather than just of higher sonic quality.

Every now and again, some truly creative effect VST plugins are released. I am now asking for tips on these, preferably low-cost.

One of them is Vielklang CM edition (4 pounds). Another one is - maybe - Soundspot Nebula. Melda has the fantastic MMorph audio morphing plugin  but it's rather expensive.

So what are your favourite creative effects in the low-cost range?

You should try the demo of this:http://www.mutools.com/mux-product.html

Or this one:https://www.ineardisplay.com/plugins/amalgame/

They cost a little more than 50 but are easily worth every penny

Clicks and pops is all I get

Thanks! As you can see in my tagline I am a MuLab (and MUX) user. :tu:

Thanks for the other link too.

Companies mentioned in that thread:

Ineardisplay
Glitchmachines
Audio Damage

All low-cost and creative.

Sugar Bytes does sales several times a year, also getting in the 50 bucks area. Favorites being Looperator and Turnado. And another vote for ÜberMod.

Post

Thanks. Agree with sugarbytes. Will look up the others.

Hy-Delay3 is also multi-effect, albeit a bit less multi. I like
Tadashi's stuff quite a lot, having all of it...

Ok, thanks. Lots of options but many of them do similar things (some kind of delay/filtering/audio mangling). I'm really looking for a unique plugin that does strange (but hopefully musical) things to vocals or instruments. I mean, to bring back moments like the first time I heard Eventide's Harmonizer on Laurie Anderson's Oh Superman in the eighties, or Majken's Chimera (http://majken.se/), or Melda's MMorph...

Something away-take-breath-ingly, so to speak. In the examples above, I think Inear comes closest (but I may be wrong here).
