Thanks! Yes, Audio Damage does cool things. :)

Interesting to see Klevgränd (Kuvert) mentioned. They do all sorts of strange things but are kind of secretive I think. Actually their Syndth synth is just on sale (https://klevgrand.se/products/syndt/). Great looking UI - weird demo movie. :)

But I agree - Kuvert (the Swedish word for the kind of envelope you put a letter in) is interesting and works on more stuff than just synths (like a string quartet).

...BTW, while looking at all these sites, I'm surprised how little the developers care about showing off their products. Like Audio Damage - great stuff and a nice website, but no videos or even audio demos for most plugins. So how can they imagine these can sell well? - They must lose thousands on this oversight. :? Creating a two-minute video letting people know what the plugin can do is not really that difficult or time consuming (especially in relation to the time it took to create the plugin!).

Sonic Charge Permut8 ($66+VAT) and Echobode ($44+VAT). Why limit yourself to $50, when you can have these incredible tools for just a bit more?

Depends what you mean by "creative". Sound mangling? Sequence generating? Extreme vs. conventional massaging/signal processing?

Valhalla Ubermod is far and away my favorite $50 effect, but even though it's capable of delivering unexpected and inspiring results, I'm not sure it fully qualifies as a "creative" effect.

Oh - it was just because threads like this usually end up with "buy MXXXX (or so) - it's just a thousand bucks". :hihi:

So it's a just an indication.

Echobode was very interesting - so thanks!

Well, that's the thing (as explained above). I'm looking for plugins that does a new take on, well, most things, just like Majken did with Chimera (a synth entirely based on noise!).

I'm especially interested in fx that make vocals sound in ways that people are going to think "how in the world did they do that?!".

I'm choosing to interpret "most creative" as "makes cool effects I haven't heard elsewhere".

This is the kind of thing AudioThing aim to do; have a look at The Orb and Frostbite.

Auburn Sounds' Graillon 2 has an interesting "pitch-tracking modulation" section that might fit the bill too?

Classic modulation effects cover a pretty big range. Waves' Enigma might be seen as dated but... it does a bunch of weird things and has a thoughtful feature set. The Toneboosters TrackEssentials bundle comes with a multi-fx modulation thing.

Ju-X Frosting is another good one ...

Thanks! Exactly. :)

Especially The Orb is really one of these, I agree.

I think that perhaps, with a novel sound follows a novel UI, like The Orb has (and at least it makes the plugin look cooler :) ).

Thanks! Nice sounding in the demos, not at all what I thought it would sound like.

Nomad Factory Garbage L.S.D. is to be had for $25 over at jrrshop atm.
Haven't tried it, but love Sches' Tantra and it's also made by Sches.
Then again, have you checked out Tantra? Not sure what it retails for, but he has sales often.

Came here to recommend this and saw you did already so +1!

Ubermod is a fine choice, as others have said. You might also check out Freakshow Industries BackMask, if you like stranger things. I'm waiting for them to release more plugins.
