Time to share what I've got...

"The Lowdown" represents a possible truth behind the face of splendor, how beneath its conception resides lonely chaos, which- only by its distillation- can reveal but a single thought, hopefully understood by others. The chaos in any greater completeness cannot be polished and will remain in the dark.

Angriff! Stukas!

Are you prepared for some fierce electro noise&rhythm industrial ride?
Stukas are attacking my track, throwing bombs on it and using machine gun fire to shred it into pieces!

https://soundcloud.com/p-e-t-e-r-h/osc- ... kas-attack

Let me just give on short note: The begining is just a bit rhythmical exploration, but the track will become, ahm...more normal after a while. Please give it a try. It's only 3 minutes anyways...so join the ride.

About:
All rhythm and fx sounds are hand crafted acompanied by just some presets (Only for those of you who can't go without chords and melody...sigh ;-)
All the mess of about 20 zebraletts is ochestrated by cubase 9 pro and a really, really hugh amount of FX...my usual candidates...you need some stuff for parallel compression, the ultra depth fxs, putting everything on the stage...
VST FX:
Cubase Pro Built in:
Frequency (quite some Mid/Side EQing), Compressor, MultibandCompressor, EnvelopeShaper, MultibandEnvelopeShaper, Limiter, Maximizer, Dithering,
Revelation Reverb, StereoDelay, MonoDelay,
MeldaProduction:
MUtility (used to do the ultra width effect: Delay of 35 ms, Swap Channels, Invert Left Channel, add to Mix at about -15 to -6 dB), MStereoExpander, MCompressor, MTremolo (used in the short break quite to the end, to model a custom "side-chaining" like effect in order to get room for the pluggy base sound and duck away all others)
Tokyo Dawn Records:
TDR Nova Dynamic EQ

Now have fun and find yourself som shelter. Stukas coming...

Very clever use of the wavetables, Peter. We all want to know about your FX list, count doesn't matter as much. I'm still for DQing everyone, who doesn't list his used gear, because it is part of what makes OSC so brilliant for everyone in it; learning about tools and with it figuring out what to explore next!

Anyway, very impressive track, mate! :tu:

I'd like to dedicate my entry to my grandfather, who passed away this month. When he still could sing, he used to be in a choir called "Frohsinn". He also loved to play the organ. This is my tribute to him.

Herzliches Beileid, EtB! What did he think about your music, if I may ask? I'd imagine he was pretty excited for you. Very nice and tasteful tribute, especially as it develops. Great job and, again, my condolences.

Dankeschön, Taron. I guess my music was a little bit too modern for his taste, but that's totally fine. We shared the love for music and that's far more important for me.

Same here  - I lost my grandad when he was 102 - lived in 3 centuries - born in 1897, did the 1900's and left this world in 2000! I just hope I will be as important to my grandson (now 3) as my grandad was to me. He's quite musical, and I might one day just let him loose on the keyboard and record his MIDI and integrate it into an OSC track!

Hugs, and thoughtful track, very nice .

Hi all,
Well this is my first OSC... I am not even a musician let alone composer or producer...
So what am I doing here.... I play with synths, back in the day, real hard analogy things but now these wonderful VSTi's , My back ground is as a sound engineer.
The Zebralette is a little baby with such a deep soul and big personality and character, I could not resist the challenge to try and create some weird sounds ;)

As it gets closer to deadline, I'm finally feeling like I "get" this synth. It's insane. I totally got a one note hero thing going on right now that I wont use in my track, but I'm so glad I decided to get into this. I'll definitely be using Zebralette more after. Just gotta finish my track!

Did Peter import samples into Zebralette? That opening is crazy.

Just gotta finish.. yeah, I get that... If I have time.
yes, I do believe Peter did use samples.. but this is a whole other trick with Zebra... google and download
Wav2Zebra2Osc this allows one to import upto 16 wav and it spits out Zebra OSC_WavTbles

As I am also new to soundcloud, can any tell me how to update and existing track... I really don't like how soundcloud has squeezed my wav into mp3 and robbed me of some VOLUME...
maybe I should use a limiter and squash the f..f..ff>> there is a word somewhere, out of it first, my self

I must admit that I am very impressed by what some of you have done in terms of emulating real instruments and using audio to create wavetables. I did not go in those directions myself but instead used more old fashioned synthesis techniques along with some hand drawn waveforms. What I like about Zebralette is that it allows for many different styles and techniques. I think the submissions posted so far illustrate that well. Should make for an interesting scoring round.
Anyway, thanks for listening and good luck to all. :phones: :tu:

Thank you, dB
Beautiful to see when the musicality is passed on to the next generations.
