+2 for some Lsd :D

I saw you mentioned good fx for vocals and with Black Friday and December sales coming up you might want to check out Unfiltered Audio Spec Ops. (129$)
(mycartoct17 is 50$ of if you're cart goes over 100$ in October)

Melda MCombMB is €25 this week.

Once you look under the hood of Melda plugins you realise how powerful they are due to the unmatched modulation system and possibilities.

On top of that its multiband with 10 different crossover modes, one of which is the tonal/transient mode allowing you to do similar stuff to Eventide Fission so the transient and sustain portions of the signal can be effected differently. Another mode is Spectrum with allows you to effect frequency bands with different effect settings.

All the multiband plugins have this feature. Add some modulation to the crossover points and..............

Thanks! Total news to me actually.

I think the review from Sound On Sound really captures what I'm after:

"In practice, Evolution is both rather wonderful and unlike any other effect I've tried. Feed a drum loop into it, for example, and you can generate ethereal, icy clouds of noise that are like waves crashing on beaches in the land of dreams. Apply it to voices and instruments and you're in the twilight world where weird, treated reverbs morph into synth pads and textures. What's impressive is that most of these fall out without a great deal of effort. Under the hood, Evolution is obviously a lot more complex than the earlier GRM Tools, but most of that complexity has been hidden from the user, and it's an absolute joy to work with."

It's six years old now, but this sounds very interesting! :)

Thanks a lot for this link. There are quite a few mentions here of modular systems, but this has a very professional look as well (but then again, so does SoundSpot's reverb fx :) ). Plus, from its description it is, as you said, highly suitable for vocals.

As suggested also by another poster, Black Friday seems like a smart time to wait for. :tu: Didn't know it was still something that companies were targeting.

This has turned out to be a really interesting thread, I think, so Thanks everyone for helping me out!

I don't know if this fits your style or not, but Manipulator by Polyverse Music (and Infected Mushroom) is innovative (and is for vocals, which I think you mentioned). And they have several videos showing how they use it. Their style is not the type of music I typically make, but I still find it inspiring and interesting.

https://polyversemusic.com/manipulator/

(I realize it's more than your target price, but there are sales sometimes that get it relatively close.)

Also, I'll add a +1 for Tantra by Dmitry Sches. It can create unique rhythmic patterns with all kinds of sources.

Wow, now that's a fantastic plugin! I'm in awe! Very, very cool, and one could surely make just about anything with it.

Thanks!
