Having an Android tablet I'm constantly frustrated by the lack of stuff available.
I've realised however I'm not really interested in sound making stuff or drum sequencers.
Having had a very brief skim through the stuff on MatrixSynth, here and the Apple store I'm wondering if I am missing much. I'm seeing lots of synths, drum sequencers and add on controllers for specific bits of kit that I don't have. I'm not seeing interesting MIDI controllers or experiemental sequecers you can interact with.
The sort of thing I'm interested in is like some of the controller things in Lemur or some kinds of interactive sequencers.
I have Lemur on Android but there are relatively few "instruments" for Android - or at least I've been able to get to work.
So is there something I'm missing?

Yes!
Fugue Machine, TC Data, Navichord, ChordFlow, Patterning, Arpeggionome, KRFT, AC Sabre and Geoshred all do unique midi stuff. There are more midi sequencers/controller apps that I don't have but are on my list!
Many people swear by midi designer pro, it's heavily discounted at the moment. Also there are some great DAW Controllers out there (I use touchable with ableton)
I'm not 100% sure rereading your post if you're thinking of switching to iOS or want recommendations for android. If it's the latter case I have no advice.

thanks - looking at these now.
One complication is that it will be paired with a PC.
Looking at the TC Data which looks like exactly what I was thinking it only seems to mention Macs.
