hi
i'm planning to buy cubase pro 9 and i'm wondering if it's 32 or 64 bits?
because on thomann .de they say 32-Bit / 192 kHz Steinberg Audio Engine..
all that for the memory , i want to be able to work with many plugs at the same time .
cheers

64-bit only. Last version that was both 32-bit and 64-bit was 8.5. Maybe you can still run Cubase 8.5 with a Cubase 9 license (I can, but I have been upgrading, so, not sure if a new license also covers that).
Perhaps asking sales support about that before buying.

If in doubt, you can download a full functioning trial, and test for 30 days:

Or to make it more emphatic for the OP... the audio engine uses 32-bit floating point numbers for its calculations, and that is entirely separate from whether the audio engine was compiled to run on processors which can only handle 32-bit data or processors which can handle 64-bit data.Googly Smythe wrote:Because the audio engine is 32bit.android420 wrote:ok so why thomann says that?

An idiot on Set Theory:
