Could you point me to where you read that, or where I can further look into this. I bought the upgrade direct off the steinbergusa site, and am a bit confused as to who/where I should go to sort it out.

I am not trilled with the upgrade deal.
Upgrading from SX-2 to SX-3 should be cheaper than from SX-1 to SX-2. It is just that simple.

However, I will be upgrade from SX-2 to SX-3, so Steinberg has made a good choice in the area of making a buck. Then new upgrade looks really good, if not a bit familiar (Tracktion piano roll anyone?)

Bottom line, the upgrade appears worth the cash. I'm waiting until I hear from the KvR crowd that it is a solid runnning release.

But be aware that you can order from the Steinberg Shop only from Germany. At least it shows, however, that there is an upgrade path.
