Hi, just got a evolution mk-425C. I get lots of latency through the built in sound card. My docking station for my laptop has a PCI slot, so i can put a desktop sound card in. i was wondering, would there be any further delay if the sound card was in a docking station?
Cheers

Do you get lots of latency when playing melodies or when twisting the rotaries? What software do you use, which host & VST? How did you setup the buffersize in the host?
It could be that you're experiencing the latency of the host + VST instrument, since from USB bus to the internals of the PC is near to neglectible.

I am using cubase sx2.
I get the latency just the same when doign melodies, or with the knobs.
I don't think it has anything to do with the buffersize, I tried lowering that and there was still a noticable latency.
Do you know how much i would have to fork out to get rid of the latency roughly?
Cheers
