Happy with Bitwig and Studio One, but I need both to cover what I do effectively. Given that I need clip style arrangement, Possibly could be just Bitwig in the future if they added ARA and a good comping system.

This is it... Initially I found it reasonable too, but as it has got updated it's become insane. Admittedly I'm on an old system but the amount I can get done with Ableton before I start needing to freeze tracks is far beyond anything in S1.

Maschine here. Sort of happy with it, sort of not. It does what I need it to do, but it's a weird fit.

I'm not doing percussion hardly at all anymore, and am pretty much only using sampler tracks for recording my final version. Sequencing modular and semi-modular hardware, with maybe 1-2 software tracks, and setting up effects chains.

There are a couple of nagging things I don't like about the UI, but not as much as in FL Studio.

Sometimes I appreciate the tactile nature of the controller, but it takes up desk space I could devote to other hardware. I've tried using the software on a laptop with no controller, and found it more awkward for a lot of things. With another modular case on its way, I'm going to move the controller to the side and see how that is.

I've taken a quick look at Bitwig, Reaper and Ableton (twice). I hated Ableton, frankly. The other two seem unfriendly to start out with; maybe once I got to know them they'd be fine but I don't really feel excited about doing that.

Totally happy with Reaper after jumping around for years. I finally figured out you can edit video on the timeline and that made all the difference for me, plus I can afford it, no expensive upgrades fits my budget perfectly.

I'm happy with Cubase 9

All of my projects are with it now and that is really good because they are not scattered here and there anymore, especially after I sold S1 and Notion (to be honest I don't miss them a lot now!).

I have other 4 hosts but Cubase is my main one to record and compose. Reaper 5 is my main DAW for quick testing (both ideas and plugins). Then Live intro 9 and FL Studio 12 come in the third place of usage when I need something different, but haven't used them to finish a song. Oh, and I have Tracktion 7! I bought it for nostalgia reason

I got Reaper, Live Intro and FL Studio in the charity auction for the two past years. I won't upgrade Live intro 9, but I will buy Reaper 6 in the future. Oh, and I don't think I will upgrade Cubase 9. I might skip to version 11 (or XI

this is how i feel but i am on 8.5 i will see about cubase 10 or 11 and then decide if i upgrade

When I first joined KVR, there were many using Sonar and Cubase and many of them usually skipped between version and version. At that time I used Sonar 4 Studio (coming from Cubase SL1 and emagic logic 5), what a time!
Anyway, it was very common to skip a version or two

I have used Cubase since SX days and currently have the version 9. I have been happy with it. Almost all of the versions before 9 had their problems, but so far I haven't run into single crash or glitch, which makes me a happy camper. Fingers crossed
