Hey people.

Could we end the dialogue regarding this and perhaps move it to a separate thread? Could someone start a new thread somewhere (not in Instruments though).

I won't be alphabetting anything and I will sort them in order as they donate, it's easier for me. I did have a dialogue with Ciberithm regarding some sort of automate the update, that would mean adding a product number to each product donated like this:

A001 Luftrum All Bundle + Lunaris. High bidder: a. bidder 1 $180
A002 Luftrum All Bundle + Lunaris. High bidder: b. bidder 2 $180
A003 Luftrum All Bundle + Lunaris. High bidder: b. bidder 4 $200
.....
.....
A538 PUSH TURN MOVE signed. High bidder: a. bidder 1 $180
Etc.

This might be something for next year and if Ciberithm (or another programmer) could work something out to automate the process that would be amazing. After all it's a lot of manual old-fashioned typing work.

With all do respect, this particular thread is of interest for us who didn't yet receive the stuff that we won in the charity auction, so not visiting it just because I (we) are not interested in your highly interesting discussion is not an option. You coulf start a new thread on how to index developers for the next year auction perhaps?

No one said you have to read every post. One option: you see my name, skip it. As for new threads, I was just doing what other people had been doing, talking about the way things went this time around and making suggestions to improve it. No point in taking this up in a separate thread, having made my case Luftrum has indicated he does not want to improve the way the event works for everyone.

...I know I know I know.........I'm going away to dig into Lunaris, etc..

I was thinking about doing something like that - maybe macros for Excel spreadsheet or an standalone app that would generate the spreadsheet and the first post for the next auction. The only problem I see is parsing the bids - if people would stick to a pattern and used product names without errors it shouldn't be that hard...

Is anyone up for this? I'm not a professional programmer (to be honest I even earned money with programming, but it was 20 year ago - completely another era;), but I would try to do it for the next year...
