I would say Cubase does not record more than in receives. But I know of (hardware) synths that produce chords if you want them to.
The best way to check your incoming MIDI data is the MIDI monitor in the MIDI-Insert-Effects section of your track.
Hope it helps.

Yes, what kind of controller are you using?
Some keyboard has lefthand option to do single note major chords, two keys get minor chord etc.
But not sure if that is also produced over midi - just internal sound engine - but it might.
Chord tracks in Cubase can also be used to produce chords.

Hi guys ,
The problem still persists .
Now it always records 2 bars before 0 irrespective of where the cursor start point is .
Can anyone help me solve this ?
Thanks

but preroll doesn't record, it just counts in.jancivil wrote:starting exactly 2 bars early is more than probably pre-roll which got selected at some point
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

what is your keyboard?
How is it connected?
How is it configured in Cubase MIDI Devices?
That looks like a feedback loop with some severe latency compensation

What keyboard are you using?
Also, you might want to check the directmusic inputs if you are win10
