This drum track was dragged out of RC, it imports to a new session, dragging will give one note only, importing into a current composition will crash.
It will drag into Reaper as a single track with all the notes.

This is the complete track, could not get the drums to "Join in one track" option in midi import.

You are welcome, Sean! Feel free to criticize and complain about the Ostinato generator because I am not 100% sure if I got the idea.

Oh yea, I just remember the check for Beta was missing in Support tab.

Both MIDI import bugs were fixed today, thanks for reporting them with a MIDI file. There will be another beta version in about 2 days with the fixes...

Attila, you must be on steroids, performance enhancing drugs, lots of coffee or just very helpful and dedicated !!
I'm use to waiting 5-10 years for things to be added and fixed elsewhere

Not sure where the setting is to get the Volume Pan Sliders on Midi Import ?

Down the track, a little floating mixer would come in handy.

in settings miscellaneous New Track there can enable Add Midi Volume Add Midi Pan and more. this work in midi import too

a Mixer i like too, but it is more work to program. I use MUX modular currently for mixing and have do a rapid rack for now.

most i miss a master VST effect, it sound much better when the internal sf2 sounds can go thru a good sounding room simulation reverb

Thanks MM, I had that set in the settings, I thought it was working in a previous version.
Tried it on all 3 settings.
If you can try it with your settings Song Tracks.zip just analyze the BB Chord track.

The Expression & Octave Transpose are set to YES and show.
Not sure what I have wrong ?

In your example there is a volumecontroller track and pan controller track. so the sliders do not appear. they only appear if a song have no controllers. this is program this way because can give confusing if the controller track overwrite volume level. when you change on slider you need delete complete controller track. maybe a volume or pan increase or decrease slider with 0 in the middle is better for tracks that contain controller

Sorry, I joined the discussion late.
MIDI import should be smarter and should realize there is just one pan or volume in the track. I'll see if I can improve this.
magicmusic is right, a controller is either a single value per track (you can display a slider in this case) or an envelope (no slider but an editable controller track is displayed).

I am happy that everyone is making a good use of the Ostinato generator. It was a good idea from BluGenes, and was easy to do. I will put another new phrase generator in the next beta version. I am making changes to the Accents variation based on feedback from magicmusic. I think it will be even more useful.

This was an easy fix. If there is just one controller event in a MIDI track and it is at the beginning, a slider will be displayed rather than an envelope.

You are right, beginning v3.4b4 this stopped working. I think I misunderstood your uploaded video and fixed a different problem that I saw on it

. Now I can see that I am unable to drop a rhythm pattern on a phrase or track header. I am working on the fix.

For copying and pasting Mixer images, the above one was easier than copy and paste all the separate RC track controls, though too much programming. BUT for programing this way below will be easier to copy paste code, and will do the job, yes a Master track FX will be good:
