Please let us know :? :? :? :?: :?: :?: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu: :tu:
The big GUI Update is still development. It takes a bit of time to adjust the graphics for all scales.
Thanks for all colour scheme suggestions, we will try to offer a few nice themes over the time.

At least one extension will be released this year, probably the Trance XT.

Good to hear parawave :) I hope it isn't too much work with the graphics and I personally don't think too much needs changing. A few different colors other than orange, might be appreciated, other than that it is fine. I like it as is, but it takes a bit of getting used to.

Please, please, I vote for no flat graphics like ableton.
100 High Quality Soundsets: Omnisphere 2, Dune 3, Tone 2 Synths, Pigments, Uhe Synths, Halion, Spire, and others.

As much as I love Rapid, I really have the feeling that most of the sounds, factory AND expansions are already trance-sounding (that's not bad of course, Rapid sounds are greater than great, but that's imho a fact). That's why I'm adding a +1 to the request for expansions like : future bass, trap, or anything like house, progressive house or deep house please. :tu:

The default theme and layout will still be the same, just with the possibility to adjust the overall size. In a few years most people will adopt to resolutions beyond 1080p, so better prepare for that.
Then there will be additional colour schemes, just imagine it as minor colour variation of the default theme. We will leave the extravagant things to 3rd party designers. So no pink theme for fancy producers.

The GUI still works with bitmaps, but internally the asset generation pipeline will ease up things. So it's easier to introduce new dsp modules or add advanced editing features. It's a first step towards this, so we'll see.

Future Bass is one of the coming XTs.
Although we call it "Trance" XT, as same our other XTs, we will try to include as much variety as we can. It isn't just a collection of 128 Hypesaw Trance Leads ;) , it includes many building blocks, melodies, sequences, drumsets and other useable sounds. Definitely no basic stuff you skip over while browsing presets.

I'd love Rapid sound-designers to take steps into non-dance music territory. Take a look at the soundsets by Hollo, Howard Scarr, just to name a few, which contain a lot of very inspirational stuff and open up the possibilites of synths in new ways. Also should you make a trance expansion I'd suggest you to listen to what Adam Szabo and Aiyn Zahev are doing.

TBH, i didn't purchase any Rapid extension so far and I'm not sure I'll do because the sound demos mostly show pretty basic and over-used sounds which can be found elsewhere. Even from my own attempts at progamming Rapid from scratch I'm sure it can do much more interesting things.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

I love Rapid except for the GUI. Great sound and easy to use. Can't wait to see what sorts up upgrades and goodies come in the future .

Hi,

Is there a pdf user's manual for RAPID, that includes the latest version's new features that I can download ?

Thanks,

I know some of you were waiting for Rapid to drop below 100€. So know is your chance. Probably the last one this year and before the big GUI update.

Finally downloaded the demo and what I can say. The unison sounds really weird and bad. Retriggerin all the time? Osc doesn't seems to run freely and I can't see free run button anywhere...? O.o Synthmaster One unison sounds same until I hit the free button. Gui could be larger
