I'm french, just discovered this place, seem cool...
Quickly I began composition since 4 month and this is f**king great, before that I was djing since 8 or 9 year, I was thinking software music making should be boring compared to mixing... How I was wrong ^^ Ive spent days & nights on fruity since 4 month lol

At this moment I'm on FL, Ive some paid stuff, Ill admit Ive cracked some stuff but at the end I don't use them, free plugins are more than enough... It even annoy me to consider to use a not free stuff at the end (aside microtonic, ABL3 or some other that Ive paid)
Perhaps in some time Ill try ableton as the friend who began in the same time than myself use it.

(nothng special, it's a modified sytrus preset + sliced/modified break sample + some sample + effect + automations, last time of my life I use a preset x) )

Ive a Track ID + composition profil too but soundcloud is down, look at my dj page and look the last stuff Ive reposted, it should be some playlist from "ZatTwacks", that's it all that are stuff Ive done, theorically I should have finished 303 learysm (probably named "break acid master" or smth like that on soundcloud) since a long time (in fact it was actually my first track that I never stopped to make better, the one Ive finished is the second in reality) but I discover new stuff every day and I'm always sidetracked by something

need to rework a bit drum (more drum pattern change), and that's only the third part of the track... The first one is the sound named "introduction" (the very first stuff I made 4 months ago, sample from a speech from Timoty Leary + automation on some effects) on soundcloud, and I still need to think about the second.


Ah and for the question, iwould like to know if there is other plugins editor like darkware ? I got a bunch of free plugins from them (the zip + source code wich was a bit everywhere in the web) and some are really fun, you see the kind of stuff ? somewhat creative plugin, not necesseraly dobly ultra stereo 4343489.9830289392 908934389 bits but fun to use and creative

I know already AtonSpookFX for ex, "Buffer Override", dblue Glitch, Ferox too you can manage to make f**ked up song with that, some stuff from Sonic charge but aside Microtonic Ive only demo at this time... If you know other, thx


edit : for those who wan't the darkware archive ive it ive perhaps still even the mediafire link, it's the guy from darkware who shared it by himself

Ive done a 40s loop with only darkware plugins, that's one of the only loop Ive spend a good amount of time on that isn't on soundcloud... I used nightmare machine as a synth (second half of pitch mod on the right of the knob make flangerish sound with a recognizable tonality, with some automation you can use it as a sort of instrument), I used neoretro for kick (I think that's the only possibility without using automation outside plugins as darkware plugins have almost never modulation LFO sync with the host, and no enveloppe neither on pitch nor cutoff / resonnance, neoretro is the only one to have pitch mod from enveloppe and not from unsync LFO), and I renamed the darkware plugins "The bend" as "Charley machine" x) because with all the white/pink noise ability + filter you can make clap & hihat easily

Hey all

I'm not so much connected as I'm not that much interested into the "looking for plugins" geek aspect (Ive done my fair share, now my DAW is not linked to internet anymore... For my level, no need of more).

I'm currently on some stuff in term of music production

Ive only smth like 4 month of composition under the belt (since "Dionysos Crusader" -it was my first track-, I didn't only done music compo...), so advice could be appreciated !

I think it would help if you had some direct questions about the tools or how to solve problems, judging the music is hard because we don't know your intended results.
