Just got an Evolution MK-461C controller keyboard.

Apart from linking the knobs to Zeta's filters, are there other interesting ways to use this keyboard controller?

I'm using Live 4, SX2, and a shedload of VSTIs.

Any and all ideas on how you've gotten more out of your controller are very welcome.

thanx = kev

Hey Kevvvvv,
Why not use your controller to vary envelopes, lfo speeds and shapes, effect levels... as well? Depending on what kind of stuff you're doing, you could use the faders to mix the levels of various instruments. My constant problem is that I haven't got enough knobs on my controller to take charge of as many parameters as I'd like to!

Well you can controll pretty much everything with your mk461c. Like the above poster mentioned, lfos, effects, levels etc in every vsti. If the vsti does not have "midi learn" you need to figure out the proper midi message nr for the knob/slider etc you want to control (check the vsti manual).

You can also control the Cubase SX mixer (for example assign the sliders on the keyboard trough the Cubase SX remote control), transport bar (you can for example assign the numeric buttons on the keyboard to the transport bars record, play, forward, rewind, stop and all that stuff) and everything else that can recieve midi messages.

Be sure to check out Evolutions site for a more extensive manual then the one that comes with the keyboard (it´s pdf format). And also download the Enigma librarian from that site, it´s alot better then the one that comes with the keyboard, and it comes with quite a few presets for alot of vsti´s. http://www.evolution.co.uk/
