Yikes. everything looks fine to me....

only other suggesting is if you had any other midi controller to test it with.

Can you get a picture of your MIDI inputs list dropdown? Is the focusrite the only thing listed?
The most likely cause is that you have a feedback loop on your keyboard. I'm assuming you have both the MIDI IN and MIDI out cable going to the focusrite box from the keyboard.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

My guess is that he has thru mode activated on his keyboard. But, can't be sure without knowing what he has.

Also, you might want to check the directmusic inputs if you are win10

Whats that directmusic input . How do I check that ?

Look at your screenshot, it's at the bottom of the MIDI device window.

Should I turn that on ?

Are you using two MIDI cables to hook your keyboard to the focusrite? Or did you use USB?

I would recommend plugging the USB from the Korg directly directly into your computer. You will get a new device in Cubase on that MIDI window. Set your record input to that and see what happens.

But if it isnt in the midi input config it can't be in the all midi drop down, or shouldnt' be anyway :-).

a feedback loop I imagine would be triggering the same notes only slightly different in time (latency) shouldn't trigger a chord.

Btw unless you are using the Korg as a sound source as well, you dont' need midi out ticked.

feedback loops can cause all kinds of crazy things to happen on the keyboard side. That's a digital keyboard. Who knows what is going on. Also, it has USB MIDI. I think he should try that so we can eliminate the focusrite from the equation.

Ok so the Korg X50 has usb and midi ports.
Do you have the Korg USB drivers installed? ( I assume it needs it for windows?)

if so.......then try plugging the korg usb cable directly into the computer (or a usb port) as SJ said.

It's simple: your quantisation is set to quarter notes.....

Why would that move the start back 2 measures?
