Mind you have set our expectations high for the OSC. I, for one, am expecting nothing less than a full orchestral piece from you!

Post

Pluhuahaha, I had to check the previous page, whether you mean me, or if I had missed something! :scared:
Yeah, well, uhm, I haven't yet tried proper symphonic instrumentation, but it is on my list to explore for sure! 8)
...but above all: Thanks again, cb! Very kind of you and I'm basically wearing some brown pants until the mid of next months, just in case! Because I'm pretty sure many awesome tracks will come! :phones:

Seems like everybody is expecting Taron to win OSC...then I can give up by now...

Here's the final "Numbers"-Track: https://soundcloud.com/p-e-t-e-r-h/eins-zwei-drei-vier
My Homage to the great Pioneers of Electronic Musik Kraftwerk

@Dimitry Schees - If by any accident you want to talk about my presets I have used for the song please feel free to PM me.

I have no expectations Peter... and I am definitely NOT every_body.. I still have my own TY.. :tu:
Anyway... Is it not the winning that really counts..
It's about being in.. isn't it? .. and you know I love your style... you do have style don't you?

Style!? Me? No way... ;-) Thanks mate!
Actually I borrowed style from Kraftwerk for this ;-) My inspirations where, "Numbers" for sure but also a little bit of "More fun to compute" ...

Classics for sure.. And even older is "Tonto's Expanding Head Band"

I'm finally starting to embrace the commands in the Harmonic Editor: Boost Lows/Highs, Saturate, Phasing, etc. The Boost Lows option really warms up a sound. A lot of people have complained that Thorn is too cold and digital...which it can be...but without too much trouble, warm analog sounds are achievable! :tu:

The only kinda restriction I can remember is the noise every 90 seconds (which I prefer to the time out demo_mode)... I am pretty certain I even saved a couple of presets in demo mode ..
Now let's think... demo mode... "unusable" for productions>> that would be about right.. :tu: :dog:

Great tune Peter, with some really interesting sounds!

What makes you think that 'everybody is expecting Taron to win'?

That was mostly kidding...there was a "warning" post over there at the OSC#105 thread...
And thanks for the nice feedback. The hard part was to actually step a bit back and get rid of all the "single finger one complete song" patches but use the capabilities very subtle. The one that I have posted here earlier moved competely to the background, it was not able to add to the track in a central role.
One of the bass sounds uses the s&h lfos to subtley control lofi and distortion. It's not in the foreground but beatifully adds to the background texture...My tipp for you all: It's a good thing to know you can do it, but that doen't mean you have to do it. And all that happend after I've lsitened to the original Kraftwerk tracks again - They are so minimal but still so effective.
