Crap

I hate you people

Anybody have it? Opinions? Sure saves a crap ton of composition work.

It’s a lot of fun. Very playable if you are a pianist. I loved the idea, perfect for orchestra colors without doing that much work.

What about the sound quality of the library itself? Hard to tell from a YouTube video. Does it stack up to EWQL?

Post

No it does not. But you could use it as a bed and the EWQL stuff to add more realism and articulations.

Curious. As it's actually generating MIDI data, couldn't I just replace the sounds of this with the corresponding sounds and articulations from EWQL? Of course if I'm going to do that it kind of lessens the usefulness of this library. And for $400, I don't know. Might not be worth it just to save myself some work in arranging.

I think this was answered over at VI Control. I am not sure that it sends the MIDI data in a traditional way. Obviously it is more involved than a runs library, and not as natural sounding as Sonokinetics. Still a lot of folks like using it, and it does make short order of complex repetition that would take much longer using traditional sounds in Kontakt or Play.

Do you actually own it yourself?

No but I have heard it. If it goes on sale I will likely buy it because it has usable features. But otherwise I felt it was a bit overpriced for the way and frequency I would use it.

Well you can get it much cheaper with the crossgrade offer. It's $245 with it.
