Using Fathom's modulation system, in Reason 9.5, the Add Mod doesn't work like it does in the Windows version. Actually can't seem to add a modulator at all to any dial. The Add Mod button stays "greyed out" no matter how much clicking is done on any knob

Reason 9.5.2d21 (latest version for Reason 9) / MacOS Sierra

Also, Fathom fails Audio Unit verification in Logic Pro X

It fails at
1 Channel Test:
Render Test at 512 frames

validation result: crashed validation

I can send the whole Audio Unit Validation Result if you would like.

Further, It shows up in the Plugin Manager of Logic Pro X as just "Synthesizer" not Fathom

Logic Pro X 10.3.2, MacOS Sierra

Also, Mac Beta Testers, if you use it and everything works fine, also report this to me,
since it will speed up the full polyphonic Mac release date.

Hardwired, If you click on the dials they do not turn white?

I have no trouble selecting dials on my Mac using MuLab.
Is your Mac running an Intel processor or the “other one”?
I can change the build settings to fix that if I know more about your system.

Also, yes, email me the AU validation result log so I can debug that.

OK, Got it thanks.

I'm able to recreate the Mac Audio Units validation problem,
so this should be fixed in the next release and Logic Pro users will be able to load the Fathom AU.
I'll let all beta testers know when there is a new release.

Also, has any one else with Mac Sierra had trouble selecting dial knobs for modulation?

Yes. It is impossible to add modulations on OSX 10.13 High Sierra. Add button is always disabled. Tested VST and AU version with Reaper and Tracktion 8.

Apart from that issue it works good. I have the impression that the graphics are not as snappy as other VST plugins I use. But that is kind of subjective.

I do not have MuLab but MUX from the same developer. On OSX 10.13 in MUX VST host it is not possible to add modulation due to permanently deactivated "add modulation" button.

Mac version sounds great, I'll test it with my Linnstrument...
First problem, component does not pass the Mainstage au validation, can't test it there (won't run in Logic either) In the plug-in manager it is named "Synthesizer" instead of "Fathom"

Does this do at all more midi than note events? I get the vst running in Bitwig, but no pitch bend is recognized, at least with the presets I tried... Didn't find any midi modulation either.

Post

TJ, You have to add pitch bend modulation yourself manually.

Add an oscillator and select Pitch Fine.
Click Add Mod.
Click Select Modulator.
Select Note and Keyboard, Pitch Bend.
Change the mod type icon on the far right to Biploar.
Increase the modulation amount on the far left to maximum.

I put it in my plugins folder, moved the the components and vst files to there respective folders.

Audio Components window/area issue

Clicking (opening/closing) Oscillator, Filter, Effect makes menu going down and eventually making them un "available" since hidden.
(can pm you a video if needed)

Logic X 10.3.2 (pass validation without problem)
