Since I set it up in April glooped.com has grown in popularity and now achieves about 70 visitors a day. Which is great except that the server it is on is sat next to my laundry basket in my hallway, connected via a wireless network to my NTL broadband. This means it has very limited bandwidth at 256kps (or it might even be 128, I can't remember at the moment). As such the site can't really expand anymore to cater for more people. If two people try and download samples from my site at once, it slow right down to snail pace.
The plan was, in the unlikely event that the site was succesfull I would expand it and hope for sponsorship to pay for a dedicated connection... However I'm in a bit of a catch-22 as I can't get sponsorship now due to my NTL contract, and I can't afford to upgrade the connection to a business connection without the sponsorship.
So I had a brainwave and thought that maybe someone out there in k-v-r land might have a server farm or access to one... and would be willing to host glooped.com. In return I would place adverts to their business / web-site on the pages. I can the continue to expand the site and the host would get some exposure through my site.
If you are interested or have any other better sugestions for me I would be most gratefull.

Would you definately need a dedicated setrver? There are some pretty good hosting packages about, and the good bit is that it starts very cheap and you can buy more bandwidth/space when you need to.
Its just a thought really, but you can get a lot of web hosting for about £50-£100 a year if you shop around. And if you think of it as a monthly cost, its not much at all.
