Wondering will Cubase Elements/AI/LE get bezier automation update or it's just the feature for the Pro version?

I wasn't expecting this release for a few more weeks. Between the new 64 bit mixing/audio engine and the Bezier automation curves, it looks like a winner to me. And for 49 USD upgrade (artist 9 to 9.5). Thanks, Steiny folk!
Will update in a bit.. once the stein website recovers.. it is slow atm.

Elements gets the 64bit audio engine, automation updates, video engine, halion sonic 3 with some 'flux wavetable synth', and a couple other smaller things.Zexila wrote:Wondering will Cubase Elements/AI/LE get bezier automation update or it's just the feature for the Pro version?

64 Bit internal processing, Bezier curves, a file browser (!)... big improvement for offline processing (it looks for me a bit like clip based processing).

Hi,
Best regards,
GN
This is the first time that the Elements version receives a .5 update/upgrade and yes, the improvements on the automation are also available for the Elements version.Zexila wrote:Wondering will Cubase Elements/AI/LE get bezier automation update or it's just the feature for the Pro version?

I am an Ableton user. And my update to Suite 10 is 200 euro. Not bad for another 4-5 years of updates.topaz wrote:Be thankful you are not an Ableton user.
kiezum wrote:The update from 9 is 60 euro. 10 euro higher than 8.5 update. They also raised the price of the update of Wavelab. This is not a good sign. That's 160 for a regular upgrade. More expensive than updates of most DAWs

I am downloading Cubase 9.5 right now... With the download app. Almost done.
If only the file browser is as good as the one in Studio One (drag to export for midi and audio)... The update would be worth it. But I doubt the Steinberg went all the way.

Wow, this update is huge for me! Love the improvements to the sampler track, metronome, browser, automation curves, metering, color schemes, etc. Will def be upgrading this week.
I had the same crash, crash, crash, CRASH problem with every earlier version of Cubase I ever owned, which drove me to ultimately abandon it for other DAWs. But, I just bought Cubase 9 Pro a couple of weeks ago and it's running as smooth as can be for me - not a single crash yet.raysaul wrote: To me a far bigger "feature" would be that Cubase stops crashing each time I exit the program (so I have to reboot my PC).

People use to blame the hosts (and/or the OS) for problems usually related with third party components, like audio card/drivers and/or plug-ins. I had the crash on exit problem on 7.5 (if I remember correctly - the remedy was running it with administrator privileges), but not after that. Cubase, 8, 8.5 and 9 all worked flawlessly.cryophonik wrote:Wow, this update is huge for me! To the user complaining, the answer would be very simple - empty your VstPlugIns and VST3 folders (remove ALL plug-ins to, for example "VstPlugIns-disabled" and "Vst3-disabled", and runn Cubase after that. If you still have a crash, try with another audio interface. Then come back and tell us what's the result of your tests. Or else, keep blaming your fate...
